My husband & I visited Atlantis Inn several years ago and decided to return over the Memorial Day weekend. Happily, the Inn is still being lovingly cared for and is still beautiful. The inviting breakfast room with hot water for tea (my personal favorite) and a delicious breakfast for both days of our stay was much appreciated. We stayed in suite 12 with a king bed and a wonderful state of the art shower with plenty of jets and also a hand held wand. This location was perfect for us since steps are limited to entering the Inn. The location is perfectly situated in the heart of Ocean City right where the action is. It was nice to return to a familiar place and see that it is well cared for. We will be returning again soon!!

We stayed at Elaine’s for our girls getaway weekend and loved it! Staff was great (the owners, Joan at the front desk and Paul and Sky in the restaurant). Room was remodeled, bright and clean. We ate breakfast there all three mornings and were never disappointed - fresh, delicious and generous portions. Great location. We ate dinner offsite at The Lobster House, Tisha’s and Panico’s and would highly recommend all there. No complaints, it was a great weekend!

Wilbraham Mansion

Built in 1840 and enlarged circa 1890s, this beautifully restored B&B is the only one in Cape May to boast an indoor heated swimming pool.

Disappointing; Horrible Bed; Small Room; Poor Breakfast

Reviewed By ClinchMtnMan

We had high hopes for stay at the Wilbraham "Mansion" for our mini-vacation in Cape May. We selected a room in the "mansion" rather than in the newer hotel-style building in the back. The "mansion" was just a modest-size old Cape May house that needs some work. PROS: There is a salt water INDOOR pool. It looked nice but we're not swimmers so we didn't use it. The staff of 2 was moderately friendly but mostly invisible. The furnishings and fixtures are upgraded and it's obvious the owners tried to make things as nice as possible. There is an old kitchen with some items available. CONS: The room was small and not laid out well. The small TV was across the room, on the other side of the bed, but not a big deal, just inconvenient. The bathroom was in what likely was part of another room at one time and a 6" narrow step up (a tripping hazard, especially at night) and tiny except for the oversized shower. The biggest negative is the horrible mattress. We like a firm mattress but this was like a rock and lumpy. We didn't get a good night's sleep either of the two nights we were there. The "breakfast" was nothing special. No choice at all; they served it to our room (our choice) on a tray that we had to balance on our laps. It didn't seem like anything was homemade; I suspect frozen items reheated. Very disappointing. "Afternoon tea" consisted of serve-yourself to coffee or tea and a few packaged cakes and cookies. Finally, the off-season room rate was unreasonably high with a strict no-cancellation, no-refund policy. We could have stayed at the best chain hotel for half the price and many more amenities and comfort. Overall, we were disappointed and would not choose to stay there again.

Overnight stay

We were looking for a quick beach get away for just the two of us. We didn’t need anything extravagant, just something clean to lay our heads. This place was a hidden gem! We were able to park the car (although it was very tight parking) and we did not have to move it. We were able to walk to and from the beach/boardwalk within minutes. (Super plus for two 20-something individuals who were able to enjoy the night life) They let us check in a tad early which was super generous and the rooms were above expectations. Clean, comfortable and enough pillows (6 total). Beds were comfortable and the AC was nice and cold. There was some sort of parade and a group of people enjoying their time- with the air conditioner you couldn’t hear them. We didn’t care much anyway. Family friendly environment with the pool. We did not visit the pool on this occasion. Although a tad pricey, it was worth it for us to be so close to the boardwalk and for us to get back safely without having to worry about an Uber/Lyft or one of us getting behind the wheel.

Not Much Value at the Beach Colony Motel

Reviewed By Rich C

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed staying at the Beach Colony Motel. Although it is in a great location, which is close to the beach and pet friendly, the property and rooms are very run down with very little amenities provided. For the price paid, which is the price you would pay for a good hotel, there were only towels and some soaps provided in the bathroom. A glass shelf was falling off the wall. so I had to be very careful about using it. There was a small kitchen area with a refrigerator, coffee pot and toaster, but no coffee or creamers provided. Luckily, I did bring my own shower essentials. I did bring this information to the manager, Leslie, and she told me that the owner of the motel does not provide these things. You have to request room service by placing a sign on your door. I'm just giving everyone a heads up to bring these items if you decide to stay here, I hope they repair the glass shelf in the bathroom before the next guest arrives, but I did not see Leslie make a note of it or write down the room number, after I told her about the issue. I would not stay at the Beach Colony Motel a second time.

Beautiful Bed & Breakfast with an AMAZING host & Attention to Detail

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay here. The themed rooms were so fun, and the entire place is like stepping back in time. Sheila has an eye for detail and making sure her guests are well taken care of. The best part? Breakfast in the morning! She was able to easily accommodate gluten free and dairy free for me, I loved how you could order your breakfast each morning. Sheila's energy and passion for her job is what truly makes the place so special. ADDED BONUS - there are bikes to ride to the board walk!

Worst Hotel I have ever stayed at

Reviewed By daisyrain30

We had 20 families stay at this hotel for a competition at the convention center. Not a single family had a good experience. Rooms: bed covers and blankets were blood stained or had cigarette burns on them, floors were dirty, mildew in the bathrooms (shower curtains, ceilings) unable to use heat because there was too much dust in the filter and on the cover, some rooms had no blankets for the beds, one room had poop on the floor. When asked for blankets or a clean bed cover they were never received or told they weren’t blood stains and they couldn’t do anything about it. The room with poop, yah the family cleaned it because no one ever showed up to do it . Gross. You had to wait for someone to be in the office (3 hours for some) just to get a roll of toilet paper. Thankfully one of the families had Clorox wipes so we could clean the rooms a little. Smoke detectors were not all installed, old appliances, no coffee pot in the rooms, some doors inside locks didn’t work. Parking: they do have free off road parking if you want to leave your keys to your vehicle in the office that someone is rarely in. When you have to run to Walmart to get pillows and blankets and use your own cleaning wipes just to stay in a room you pay a lot of money for and get your issues completely ignored, it’s a problem. If we had other options or thought we could have gotten our money back, we all would have stayed elsewhere. Other than it’s location, completely GROSS and not worth a dime of your money.

Typical beach motel

The room was very clean. The maids were working around the clock and their hard work showed. The rooms were small. And the bathroom very outdated. Small sink with no room for toiletries. The beds were very comfy tho. The location is perfect. Quick walk up to the boardwalk. The pool was nice and the outdoor sitting area was comfortable. We were able to use one of the two grills on the premise to make dinner. We made ourselves at home and enjoyed spending 4 days there! As long as your ok with a typical beach motel with no frills attached you should be happy here.

Just so-so

Liked: Room size was spacious, beds very comfortable, but the mattress was a bit high for me since I am a short person, I had a little difficulty getting into it. Had big fridge, microwave. Disliked · Beds too far away from nightstand, we couldn't reach the table from the bed. No small table or chairs to sit at, you had to sit in the bed to watch TV, room had a sofa but it was not facing the tv. No hangers in closet, or actually no bar to hang a hanger. The linens were very clean, but the shower was not so good, there was brown grime on the wall tiles and in the grout, seems they don't clean that part of the shower at all. There was a used soap still in the shower niche. There was big black spots on the ceiling, I'm assuming mold. Towels and wash clothes were sufficient, the sink and toilet were very clean, and there was new soap packets on the sink. Their check in policy is ridiculous, if you want to check in before 4 pm, you have to pay $20 extra for every early hour! The guy at the front desk was very nice for check in, but after that day, for the next 2 days until we checked out, the office was closed, no one on the premises, you had to call a phone number to check out or if you had a question or issue. Also, no maid service after our first day of check in. The area was not too good, lots of closed and boarded up buildings and businesses, was a bit leery to walk around there in the evening so we drove closer to the boardwalk and paid for parking.
