Great hotel, great location
Reviewed By HappyHols630This was a lovely experience from beginning to end. We had a park view room which was spacious. View was limited to a treed area to the side of main hotel but this didn't matter to us. Breakfast was terrific on the large sunny terrace, Eggs, crepes, pancakes available to order and a wide range of breads, fruit, cereal, cake, juices, meats, cheese etc. While waiters would bring you coffee if required you could also get your own. Sparkling wine was also available if that's your thing. The sparrows were a bit of a nuisance at times but also entertaining and that's part of the open air eating experience I suppose. The gardens pools and restaurants are very well kept and you're free to grab a lounger and sit at the pool or find some shade to relax. The Capannina Bar/Restaurant, beside the main pool area, was great for drinks and lunch. Waiter service to the pool area would have enhanced the experience. The resort runs from the main street down to the lake front - so you also have the option of a lake swim within a few minutes walk from your room. Sailing du Lac, while not part of the hotel is attached to the grounds and you can hire bikes, sup, kayaks there if required. Housecleaning was great. We had a hairdryer replaced and staff checked back with us to ensure we were happy. A drawer that had come off its rails was also noted and fixed without us having to report it. The only very minor negative was that there were not proper cups or glasses in the room. Maybe this was due to previous covid regulations and had yet to return to the usual arrangements. We don't think that we would look anywhere else if returning to Riva. Grazie Mille.

Reviewed By kavandenhaAmazing hotel with panoramic views. We spent our honeymoon here. The hotel has a lovely wellness area with a variation of sauna's and a pool. The restaurant has a great breakfast buffet and serves a different themed diner menu daily. At the bar you can order excellent pastas for a late lunch. Rooms are clean, modern and the beds are big and soft. Would definitely return as soon as our budget allows it.

Reviewed By emilyk211Expensive holiday but well worth it. Great food, attentive staff and a great range of activities (in addition to skiing). The live music on the terrace in the sun was banging! Awesome atmosphere. Kids activities were phenomenal, as usual. Our kids were never bored and we all made some great memories on and off piste. Staff were all fab; hard working and fun (so well coordinated). Ugo is the best kids entertainer I’ve ever known! Waiting and bar staff were great/ Mehmet had huge attention to detail. Took fleshed to high (and eco) standard every day. Beds could have been softer. All in all, one of the best weeks we’ve had! Thanks to the Chief and all his hard working staff

Hotel I will not revisit
Reviewed By Explore68373975430The only hotel in the world in which I stayed and had to pay more for my 9y old daughter and myself than I would pay for two adults. After getting an answer to my question how comes: because it is like that all other rates got irrelevant. They so easily became destination I’ll not revisit.

Average Family Village - a bit expensive
Reviewed By arturof825It's just your average family hotel. Good location, fair customer service, great food (well, it's Italy after all!) and nice people serving at the restaurant. The kids-club works wonderful (it was nice to get a break from kids in the afternoon), but repetitive after 1 week. I think it's over-priced; for the same money, we could get a high-quality hotel somewhere else abroad and close to the beach also. The reason I went there with my family was because at about 2 hours by car from home. By the way, we were for the first week of July, I believe it'd be very very busy later in July and then in August.

Reviewed By krispyk16We spent a night at the hotel and were lucky to have enjoyed all the amenities they offered. The bus shuttle to Lugano cbd was a great service. The spa offered several choices such as sauna, Turkish hammam, steamy bath, jacuzzi or indoor pool. The outdoor pool area is just stunning and we loved soaking up the sun in front of the serene lake. Staff were exceptionally professional and helpful. Our room on the 4th floor had a fantastic view of the lake. Definitely a wonderful place to kick back and relax.

Not what i expected
Reviewed By 915brigittapMy husband and I waited for this trip to the mountains for so long, i found this resort and thought this will be the best place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Well we end up leaving this resort after 1,5 days… we booked half board so breakfast/light lunch/ dinner was included but it was dissapointing. Doesn’t worth the money, the resort itself overall amazing but the staff wasn’t helpful at all, they didn’t even ask why we would like to leave after 1,5 days. Location is amazing but nothing else… for 2800€ we expected better.

Absolute chaos
Reviewed By Chloe4699Hotel was beautiful and food was amazing…. However the hotel is understaffed and needs a management system in place. Meal times were chaotic with meals coming out sporadically - sides 30-45 mins before/after the rest of meal. Some people at the table were eating 2 hours before others even though orders were placed at the same time with the same waiter. Two nights out of the five our orders were completely forgot about and we had to reorder 3 times. We asked to speak to the manager on both occasions of the orders being forgotten about. The first time we were told the manager wasn’t there and the second time we were told to speak to them in the morning. We spoke to the manager and they said that staff is hard to find - understandable yes but a manager was clearly needed each night to oversee the staff and ensure that food was being served - the manager being available the next morning was pointless. Some of the staff clearly did not want to be there and were incredibly rude and unhelpful. We were told multiple times each evening to keep the noise down when we were chatting as we waited hours for food to be served. What did they expect? Us to sit quietly and wait. On the last day we were waiting in the lobby for our airport transfer from 11am-1pm. During this time we were asked to keep the noise down multiple times - again we were just chatting nothing that would be too loud for a usual hotel lobby. Then they proceeded to move us to a table around the corner in the dining area instead of sitting in the hotel lobby. There was plenty of seating for other guests so I don’t know why they were so rude. Overall the experience was ruined by the rude staff, lack of organisation and non-existent management system. It was a pity as the hotel was beautiful and some staff were clearly trying their best but they were understaffed and there was just no organisation.

Randolins Familienresort is located on the edge of Sankt Moritz in the Grisons Region, just 300 m from the next chair lift to the Corviglia Ski Area and a ski school. There is a playground and a playroom plus an extra room, where you can store and prepare baby food. Laundry facilities are available as well. For stays of 2 nights or more, in summer the use of all regional buses and cable cars are included in the price and in winter, you will receive your skipass with the two offers “Snow Deal” or “Sleep + Ski” from just CHF 45 per person and day. You can find numerous hiking paths and 2 lakes for swimming in the surroundings of Randolins Familienresort. On prior request, a free shuttle service from the train station to the hotel is provided.

Reviewed By 751ferdivWe had a very nice stay at the Randolins family resort. The location on the Suvretta hill outside Sankt Moritz is beautiful and the views from the resort are breathtaking. The staff at Randolins is very friendly and the breakfast and dinner are excellent. The daily little newspaper with the weather forecast, the things to do and the menu for the day is very nice. Ski slopes are easily reachable on ski’s from the hotel when the 300 mtr road is snow covered. A very enjoyable holiday and i can only recommend this nice, quiet and peaceful place.
