I was blown away with how awesome this place was. Its a step back in time because they have preserved the buildings exteriors which really ads to the experience. Behind many of the doors are more doors with shops and eateries .. Make sure you go for the arepas with a chorizo. The locals are very nice and most of the tourists are colombian or south american. Still buzzing i got to see this place.

I visited this Center with my family (kids of 6 and 12 years old) and they were really interested listening to our guide explaining different fossils exhibited and labor developed in this Research center. Very good experience to remember my geological background and share my brief paleontological knowledge with my kids... It’s highly recommended if your kids love dinosaurs and ancient animals.
Kids can perform exploration activities like Paleontologist.

What impressed me about this lovely church is its peacefulness. Do often churches are packed full of images statues icons ...too crowded buy far. This has white walls with few ornaments and images. This makes it lighter and highlights the glory of the got behind the alter, which would otherwise have been lost.

This institution was founded in 1620 by the Dominican Order. It was added to over the years and is still in good condition. The central garden is beautiful. Exhibits help understand both monastic life and the local aboriginal inhabitants of the area.

Casa Museo Antonio Narino

This museum has a thorough history of the life and importance of Antonio Nariño. The exhibits and guides have a wealth of information and do a good job of reminding the visitor of the modern importance of his life's work. For those tired of only hearing about the conquests of 'the liberator', this museum will convince you there are other important historical figures. The only major flaw is a lack of information available in English.
