These guys know their stuff. We have had multiple trips to Val d'Isere over the years and TDC have never failed to impress us with their knowledge of where the safest and best conditions can be found.
Terry and Kieran are fantastic. In small groups they are mindful of how to ensure everybody has the opportunity to maximise their skiing despite the inevitable range of ability, but because the groups are small (6 or less) there has never been a problem. Private guiding means they'll ski with you at your limits in a safe manner.
If you're looking for expert tuition and guiding around Val d'Isere and Tignes, TDC are hard to beat.

We stayed two weeks in February 2017, and had pretty good teachers the first week...but the second week, my daughter got a teacher who would yell at them, humiliate them publicly "you are so bad" "you don't understand, are you stupid" and who would leave them at meeting point 15 to 20 mn early as he was fed up with them. Un-believable! I complained to the school, who said they would talk to that teacher....he should retire ( as he was not young) and probably do something else, or work with adults only...see if he would dare talking to them the same way he talks to his group of kids who were terrified of him.

We hiked to the refuge in May when it was unmanned. Only us there, a team of 4, took our own food and wine, lit the fire burner and enjoyed an evening star gazing. The facilities are fine for what you need for one evening. We have also stayed there is the summer when it is manned and enjoyed the hospitality and good food from the hosts. Mostly an easy walk to the refuge although some steep slopes from the path, so not for those scared of heights!

British Alpine Ski School

Welcome to the British Alpine Ski School. We have more years experience than we care to mention in helping skiers get the most out of the Mountains. For 12 years BASS has been delivering a quality product and an awesome team of inspirational ski coaches. We promise to enhance your skiing experience and enjoyment of the Mountains and we are enthusiastic about teaching all levels and ages. Val d'Isere has long been one of the most popular ski resorts Having started life way back in the 11th century as a village, rather than being purpose-built as a resort, it still has a traditional charm. It has one of the longest seasons in the Alps - from December to May - and access to 300km of Espace Killy piste makes it a paradise for skiers and boarders of all levels. Its off-piste, too, has a reputation for being some of the world's best. Though you would think it a playground for the rich, Val d'Isere actually has something to suit all budgets and a thriving community.

This was a hit with five children as the instructors are Brits and so the children could understand them fully. The instructors had groups of 6-8 kids over half term and gave the children a really fun experience with off piste and exploring as well as technique.
It was not suitable for a very advanced skier though although to be fair it is not really targeted at that level.
