Leven Canyon

Reviewed By SydneyMary - Sydney

The Leven Canyon circuit is a great walk, we debated whether to go clockwise or anticlockwise, having chosen clockwise we had to climb the 697 stairs, but weighing this up against the steep climb back to the car park going anticlockwise we decided it was pretty evens. Either way when you get to the lookout the view is stunning and well worth the climb.

Pedal Buggies Tasmania

A variety of pedal buggies are available for hire ensuring a fun filled and entertaining time for all ages(from 6 months old). Choose a single, family or group buggy and enjoy the peaceful park setting as you pedal along the shared pedestrian/cycle path. A wheel chair buggy trailer is available upon request. Take a Surrey Bike on the 12km return trip to Turners Beach Berry Patch.

Reviewed By Amy K - Launceston, Australia

Visited here for our son's 8th birthday, and we all had a great time! We hired two single buggies for our children and a double one for us. Children younger than 8 might struggle to pedal their own, but it's lots of fun even in a double one or there are bigger ones which will fit more people (even looks like there are special seats for small children to enjoy the ride too). We hired for half an hour which was long enough for us on the hot day we visited, but on a cooler day it would be great to hire for longer and pedal all the way out to Turner's Beach for a picnic.
Staff were super helpful in working out which buggies would be best, getting the seats in the right positions and explaining all about the tracks we could go on. They also had a couple of new buggies designed especially for the beach which look like lots of fun.
You can book ahead, or just show up like we did. Make sure you have cash on you as there are no eftpos facilities.

Ulverstone History Museum

Reviewed By Olya W - Forbes, Australia

We were disappointed with the information, or in most cases lack of on the history on the Ulverstone area. The street exhibition had very little information as to the era on show, in most cases it was guess work and especially disappointing was the Anzac display....incorrect visual information regarding uniforms. On the positive side there was a travelling exhibition titled Sixteen Legs, impressive display telling a wonderful story in a most interesting way.

Anzac Park

Reviewed By BinaOnABudget - Greater Hobart, Australia

This is a nice relaxed spot close to the shopping centre of Ulverstone. The path along the water's edge is wide and of well kept bitumen. The playground is fun with a rocket slide and other fun equipment. There is also an undercover BBQ area. A short walk away toward the mouth of the river is a great take away restaurant (Pedro's) that also has a lovely dine-in area looking over the water. There is also another restaurant/function centre along the way which has clean, easily accessible toilets. We parked near the function centre then walked along (under the bridge) to Anzac Park and then walked back to Pedro's for a tasty dinner.
