School holidays and so many visitors to the Scienceworks handled well. Yes a line up to get in. You can buy on line and miss this bit. A busy day went so well with my 6 year old charge. We moved around easily and we didn’t wait to use the interactive displays. Time spent in the pump house building and meeting the challenge of no sticky tape. Great fun.

I remember when the bridge came down and after all these years never knew there was a memorial. Despite lots of cones around it and not being very welcoming I decided to explore anyway. I took a moment to remember what it must have been like but frankly I cannot comprehend what it must have been for those men and women who were involved in this tragedy. There is a nice park nearby to explore as well. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Small parking area.
