Set on 1,100 scenic acres in central Connecticut, we're a year-round destination for great food, wholesome family fun and beginner and championship public golf. Established in 1741 and now in its 9th generation, Lyman Orchards is recognized as the twelfth oldest family owned business in the USA. Shop in the Apple Barrel market for fresh farm produce and award-winning Hi-Top Apple Pies; enjoy picking fresh fruits in season, and golf on our two 18-hole championship courses, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and Gary Player; or learn the game of golf or improve your stroke at our new Golf Center and Apple Nine course. One visit and you'll see why Lyman Orchards is "Connecticut's Sweet Spot!"
This was our first time going apple picking here. They have an attendant that gives out plastic bags(located in a booth). They had all kinds of apples and bosc pears to pick. They have a very large orchard with names displayed at the beginning of the row. We picked Macintosh and Cortland apples. We also picked bosc pears. They also had a pumpkin patch. My granddaughter had a lot of fun getting the fruit off the trees. All the fruit was in excellent condition. After we finished we checked out at the booth and paid for the fruit. I plan on returning in late Spring to pick strawberries, blueberries and later on peaches.

My husband and I did The Book of Spells room for Valentine’s Day and had a blast. Challenging and clever clues, with really impressive quality props. Staff was super friendly. We liked that you could choose to have the room to yourselves (as opposed to being placed with strangers). We will definitely be back.
If you’re new to escape rooms, you should probably have at least 3 or 4 people for this room.

We really loved our visit here! The surrounding area is beautiful and this provides a fantastic view! I was thrilled that my mom could enjoy the views without feeling like she was in danger and she didn't have to hike there (although you can). She is so afraid of heights and this provided the best opportunity for her to enjoy the overlook. My husband and I took full advantage of the view from the tower and even climbed out on the rocks for some great photos. It only takes an hour to visit especially if you drive to the top so don't miss it!

We took our 5 and 7 yr old grandchildren for a quick 18 holes. The setting is beautifully maintained with plants galore. The theme is cute with statues of variouswild animals. A stream runs through the facility. The course was a bit difficult for the younger one but fine for the rest of us. Most of the holes were reasonable. This is not a hard course but a family fun one. We heard laugher from several other groups which probably indicated they were enjoying themselves. The others playing included multi generational groups, small families and teenagers. Nice mix. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Farmer Joe's Gardens is located on family land that has been a chicken farm, geese farm, Turkey farm, and apple orchard. The land is now growing vegetables and plants to continue the tradition. Farming remains a cornerstone in Wallingford, Connecticut, and our family intends to be part of it long into the future. Connecticut farms are thriving and growing in new and exciting ways. Our small family farm produces garden plants and a bounty of healthy, fresh food available in our farm store located at 109 Leigus Road, Wallingford, Connecticut.
Farmer Joe's is a great local farm stand that offers much more than just fruits & veggies. I originally stopped there just for corn, until I saw all they had to offer. Preserves, local eggs, meat & chicken, raw milk, honey & much more!

Nice park in downtown Meriden. Great place for leisurely stroll. Paved meandering Walking paths. Amphitheater. Nice pedestrian bridge. Pretty views near brook. Parking is a challenge. With the exception of a few very careless dog owners, the park is very clean and well-maintained. Nice addition to city.
