Beautiful place, warm and clean waters. I recommend arriving before 10 am to avoid the traffic, since the access road is narrow, steep and full of curves.

Point cultural de São Gonçalo, possui biblioteca, teatro e sempre esta apresentando algo diferente, a cidade de que não tem tantas opções culturais encontra no Sesc um reduto de boa cultura. Possui ótima piscina para associados.

Just keep walking to the next beach. It's a healthy 10m jungle walk, and a much nicer, larger and less crowded beach. If you can afford a little extra walking, first along the beach, then another 10m jungle walk, don't miss the natural lagoon formed inside a bunch of beautiful granite rocks. Very much worth the extra effort. If you have the choice, go early in the morning to avoid the rush of 'farofeiros' (families carrying their own food for a full day stay).

Um casarão antigo, construído no tempo do Brasil império, abriga a Casa de Cultura Heloisa Alberto Torres. Lá acontecem várias exposições itinerantes, que possuem entradas gratuitas, onde se vê diariamente vários estudantes da rede municipal. Atualmente expõe obras sobre o meio ambiente, em parceria com a UFF.

Bom trajeto de bike para um fim de semana com os amigos. Lugar pra quem gosta conhecer mais um pouco sobre a história da nossa cidade além de conhecer um dos maiores patrimônios da humanidade em referencia a paleontologia.

We were lucky enough to go with someone who had local knowledge.
The trail is ok but the real fun is the rock formations. There is a mini cave behind the waterfall. A rock that swallows, thats what the locals call it, you go in one end and the water spits you out another. A very smooth slope which you can use as a slide.
The water is fresh, clean and "refreshing".
