The sand there is great! We enjoyed the sun and beautiful view. They have bathrooms with changing rooms, and a truck food vender.

Tawas Point Lighthouse

I didn't stop here to visit, but it sure looked like a great place to explore. Instead, I had a friend drop me off here and run back to the Tawas Bay Beach Resort which is exactly 4 miles.

Ben Franklin Store

There's a reason you'll hear shoppers say so-and-so told them they HAD to come here...this place is amazing! It's part souvenir shop, part gift shop, part craft store, part dime store...you get the idea! And so crammed to the rafters with neat, affordably-priced stuff you can stop in several times in one summer and still discover things you didn't notice before. Even the congested aisles can't detract from the wonder of this place. About the only thing I can critique is the clothing, which doesn't seem to be of the high quality it once was, when you could find the identical item as the pricey shop across the street for a fraction of the price. But hey, if you've never been here, you wouldn't even know about that! So still a 5 out of 5 for this shoppers' paradise!

This is a great park with lots of parking, including a charging station for hybrid cars, wonderful beach, a taco stand, paddle board rentals, a great new restaurant (Boathouse) across the street, and the park is free. Can't get any better. Enjoy!

Charity Island Dinner Cruise

Reviewed By Mike S - Vassar, Michigan

Our first trip to Caseville for the Cheeseburger days. Just happened upon the link to the Dinner Cruise. What terrific good fortune. The weather was perfect. Arrived early enough in the day to get a place to park. I consider it very much similar to meeting a friend at the Caseville Municipal Marina and riding with him on his boat (with 40 of your best friends of course) out to his Island home. Which just happens to be a Michigan Historic Treasure. Love these historical tours. The stories, all the background. The dinner was spectacular. THAT was unexpected.

Would have loved just a little more time to walk around and absorb the place. Soak it all in. Make sure I saw everything. Completely professional in every detail.

HIghly recommend the excursion. Pure Michigan

This shop is a Newman Street institution, and for good reason. There's so much to love about this store. Everything here is first-rate, quality merchandise, from the wide array of cute cottage and cabin decor to the obligatory souvenir tees and sweatshirts. And they're THE destination for cute, casual women's resort apparel.

Motor City Kiteboarding

Reviewed By Borec77 - Cleveland, Ohio

Motor City Kiteboarding was recommended to me by several people in my area. If you are new to kiteboarding then you need to take a lesson. It is for your safety and the safety of others. I arrived to Detroit (Lake St. Clair metro park) where I met with Mark, the owner. Mark loves his business and I loved the lesson. First you start on the beach with some basic but important techniques. You will learn about wind, how to set up a kite and how to fly a kite. Then you go into a water and Mark will show you how to get on a board and start kiteboarding. After whole day of learning I purchased all the gear and now I can wait to go again. You should call him up and set up a lesson, you won't be disappointed.

A lot of interesting Michigan/Lake Huron/Tawas Bay souvenirs, clothing, and memorabilia here that I haven't already seen elsewhere. Some a little pricey, some very reasonable. All very cute. The second block of Newman St. just got a little more shop-worthy!

Great mini golf. Good selection of holes. Very good mountain holes and waterfall. Just north of East Tawas. Can get busy when large groups show up. They also sell fudge and Carmel corn. Adults $7. Kids $5. Little ones free.
