My husband and I made a spontaneous decision to stop at this shop while driving and hiking on the Cabot Trail. We were looking for pottery and found a large variety of pottery as well as jewelry, art, and woven pieces. We were specifically looking for large mugs and found the perfect ones. The works are beautiful, high quality and reasonably priced. After a great experience we were on the lookout for other arts/gift spots to stop, but none compared. Don't miss the chance to stop at Arts North!

We hauled our bike to Cape Breton to experience the roads, mountains and WOW what a cruise! We had chilly weather and sunny skies, and we were thrilled to have experienced this ride, finally!

We almost passed up stopping at this small museum and lighthouse. Fortunately we did drop in, as the experience was certainly worthwhile. The museum is small and displays are not extensive but the folks on duty were very chatty and informative about local history. The young woman who led us on a tour of the lighthouse was also well informed and the lighthouse itself is interesting, especially the giant Fresnel lens that focused and projected the light.

Great beach and not a lot of people. Terrific sunsets and they fish there too. Take a stroll or a swim in the Atlantic.
