My wife and I were in Rome for a week and decided after exploring the city, we wanted to take a trip to Tivoli. We hired a driver and wanted to see Hadrian's Palace and Villa d'Este. Tivoli is less than an hour drive east of Rome. It is located up in the hills and the climate is cooler. We were met at Hadrian's Palace by a local guide, who was friendly and knowledgeable. Hadrian's Palace is mostly ruins but, is worth seeing. Also, we were taken to Tivoli and shown the Villa d'Este. The Villa has beautiful gardens and fountains that are impressive. It was a wonderful day trip that you should consider doing when visiting Rome.

We had a very enjoyable and informative all-day tour of Rome and Vatican City. Our guide, Nicola, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He arranged the schedule perfectly and gave us keen insights on each point of interest that we visited. Our driver, Claudio, expertly navigated the routes and was very friendly as well. We engaged Claudio to give us another half-day tour of Castel Gandolfo, which was superb. I strongly recommend Limousine Service in Italy for your travel needs.

If you have been to Rome before & have seen all the sights, this should be your next ‘excursion’. We had a private driver take us to Tivoli where we met our private guide...a Roman history schoolteacher who was filling in for a friend. She was sooo knowledgeable! It was HOT, but there was water along the way. The history of Hadrian (Adrian to the Italians) was mind-boggling!! Amazing how they could build what they did in only 20 years! The second part of the tour was nearby & much more lush & beautiful (see pics). Lunch was on our own. Tour guide had a few recommendations. Loved the one we chose (see my review). I liked that we had time for a leisurely lunch nearby before we met our driver for the trip back to our hotel.

We had been due to see Andrea Bocelli in concert, but obviously with the current restrictions that is simply not possible. Instead, we decided to take a tour tailored to our needs and organised by Alessio, the maestro's nephew. From the first email, Alessio was easy to deal with, quick to reply and luckily for us spoke excellent English. We started with our tour with Tony, who picked us up from our accommodation in an air- conditioned comfortable 8 seater. We drove about 40 mins to the beautiful town of Volterra for a couple of hours of sightseeing, including visiting an alabaster workshop and a coffee stop. Tony's English is perfect and he chatted and explained the sights and history as we walked - just the right amount of information offered to make the experience interesting but not too heavy. Then back to Lajatico for a brief wine tasting and a most wonderful 4 course meal ( coeliac catered for with no issues). Afterwards we drove around the family vineyards and stopped off at the Teatro del Silenzio ( movingly covered with flags apparently as a thanks to the health workers of the world) A most memorable day for us all, I would recommend it wholeheartedly , thank you Tony, Alessio and the Bocelli family.

I have to say that Maurizio made our four day stay in Rome a trip of a lifetime for myself and my 17 family members. He and his team of two other drivers (we had 3 vans) were exceptionally prepared, on time, considerate and went above and beyond to make our daily tours an experience that we will never forget. Just tell him what you may be interested in seeing and he will do all the planning for you, from restaurant reservations, tickets, you name it. Honestly, there is not reason to contact other guides, get prices, haggle, etc..Maurizio's prices are fair and service is fantastic! Just as an example, one of our family members needed emergency care for an illness and Maurizio picked them up and drove them to the hospital and stayed with them the entire time. And all of this was done after hours. There is no doubt that when we return to Rome we will give Maurizio a call and utilize his services again. He can be reached via Facebook or email and responds quickly. I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed.

We had a great tour provided by our guide, Pasquale. He was entertaining and knowledgeable, which is a huge plus since the Vatican Museum can be a bit overwhelming if you tour it on your own. He made sure to stop and highlight the important parts and answer any questions the group had. Thanks again Pasquale for the great trip to this impressive site!
