Our Hostel Cascada Verde is located in the jungle - with cheap beds, warm, relaxed atmosphere, children's and environmentally friendly. Relax in a lush jungle overlooking the Ballena National Marine Park. The waterfall is 5 minutes away and the Pacific Ocean is a 45 minute walk.
Hostel with great views and need for some cleaning
Reviewed By teresauk0608Communication with the host was great, we did get eventually told off for parking at the end by what I assume could be an owner but it was a simple misunderstanding and knowing the rules we would have been happy to repark. It’s a lovely treehouse, we had a double room and it was very basic but good. Signs, wooden furniture and lot of spots to keep chilled is what makes the place. I assumed it would be little more welcoming and friendly but we had nice experience and met one friendly dog haha.. breakfast was tasty, shame it was charged separate but most people cooked and it was worth the 6dollars. The bathroom/shower was the only thing we were not happy about and definitely needed refurbishing. They also offer fridge for the guests but it was full of rotten things and food that gone off so we just got breakfast there and ate out. In overall it’s a lovely unique place of good value what you pay for that needs some little cleaning done

Most fun hostel ever!!
Reviewed By 554JamesS554My wife and I stayed here for one night, but kept coming back every single night after as we made so many friends here and the hosts, father and son team Tom & Nick, made us feel so welcome! The drinks and smokes flow easily and the vibe is super chilled and fun. This is the hostel you want to stay in for good times and a bit of a party. The rooms are very clean, bathrooms are nice and clean as well and honestly we just enjoyed every minute of it! Rock and roll and fun in the sun is the name of the game here. Great for couples or solo travellers alike, this was our favourite spot in Uvita?

Reviewed By Yuma MI have stayed there for 3 nights 4 days. the guy in the counter is so kind and friendly. The hostel has really good Wi-Fi and AC. It was the first time that I had no problem with Wi-Fi in Costa Rica. The happiest thing for me is that the hostel is so quiet at night. There are no screaming and hanging over in the hostel. There is a place to drink so if you want to drink you can go there and drink too. only that i couldn't make is that I couldn't use the bicycle from this hostel so i have to find the bus and walking way. but they explained me that the bicycle is coming in 1 month. so it's going to be no problem for you. The location to the uvita is not too bad, if you have your own car you can go soon, even if you don’t have it, you can call taxi. In my case, I walked to the water fall, it takes 1 hour, and 2 hour for the uvita beach. Also there is a local bus to Dominical as well, but the bus is not punctual and I waited 1 hour in the bus stop. You should consider how to go by yourself. The food: there are some restaurants nearby, also there is a supermarket so you can buy some fruits or any food for the breakfast as well. There is no breakfast option from this hostel. Thank you for the great experience. I am going to visit from Japan again.

I would say that the relation price-quality was just perfect, also the hotel has a good position near to all the important places.

Such a cool and unique place
Reviewed By JazzyMunozThis place has a great vibe, fun employees and comfortable rooms. The only complaint I had was that it was so far from the "town" of Uvita and the buses. But it was super close to the beach. I would suggest it to anyone who has a car rental or a bike.

Reviewed By AlicjaB75This hotel was phenomenal! I loved everything about it. First of all unlike a hostel- there are single rooms available. I had one with a own bathroom and on the other occasion one with a shared one. Both were good. Person confirming the dates was very accommodating and helpful as I was changing some dates. The beach is literally 4 mins walk - which was great. And the ambience is just great- you feel so close to nature. Breakfast every morning was same every day but good. Yes you could hear everyone’s steps and speaking as there is no walls but people were mindful and not making too much noise. I would definitely stay there again. Enjoy!

The owner went well above his responsibilities and made sure we had everything we needed. There is also a restaurant attached to the hostel with great backpacker options.
