First, I'd like to say thank you to Tony, Mercy, Óscar, Vale, Jairo and all the staff from this place who treated me awesome. I went from Friday 21 to Monday, January 24th 2022 and had a beautiful time. I booked a Suite room and it is perfect, clean, spacious and comfortable. They provide shower gel, shampoo and conditioner so no need to carry these items on your luggage. The swimming pool and bar area are well maintained, there was a DJ on Saturday's afternoon. Breakfast was pretty good and way satisfying. This is a place where I will DEFINITELY go back. Thank you all :)

being put in a 12 bed dorm after booking an 8 bed, owner really didn't care he was ripping people off. he offered to refund the difference but never did. no hot water in shower. pillows so thin they might as well be none. very loud broken a/c fan in room. no lockers in room. booked shuttle to airport with them. was confirmed at $25 but told $65 when it arrived. left no time to book through another more reputable company so had to pay it. just another American owned place that has no scruples when it comes to ripping off their customers.

Pura Vida vibes!??

This was my favorite hostel from my 2 weeks Tamarindo. The owner, Omar, is fantastic and made me feel very welcome. All the staff there were very nice. Very clean rooms and I love the fact that I can have my own private room with private porch and hammock and still be able to socialize easily with the other guests. Just a few steps to the nicer part of Tamarindo Beach with great surfing, volleyball and river swimming. Just kidding don't go swimming in the river. Seriously there are big crocs in there just waiting to eat you there!

Home Away Fom Home

Mario and Roberto the two Italian managers made me feel very welcome. I was treated as one of the family and that is very important when you are far away from home. Its a very large property built into the side of a hill with lots of greenery which makes for a very natural setting. As with most hostels there is a shared kitchen with three refrigerators and more than ample space for storage. It was like a United Nations of sort with guests from places like Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Brazil, Israel and Great Britain to mention a few. The location couldn't be better really. Although its on a relatively quiet street, you are just a short walk from Playa Langosta and the main drag on Tamarindo Beach. They have the mandatory rentals and surf lessons and are very willing to help you in whatever needs you have. Being senior I was cautioned to go with the private room as all the shared dorms were occupied by the younger generation. The wi-fi was adequate and the quiet and kitchen hours were strictly enforced. All in all I would not hesitate to stay here again. PURA VIDA ROCKS!

looking for somewhere to sleep?

Reviewed By rawexpressionz

overall the atmosphere is decent when you walk in at night and the lights are set up all twinkley and beautiful. but i live here in Costa rica and I had work early the next morning and didnt want to drive an hour away back to myhouse just to get up at 6 and drive all the way back to Tamarindo.. so i needed a cheap place to stay and this was it.. But i think i will take my money elsewhere next time. I am sitting here at work with my eyes super puffy because i barely got sleep last night. The overall property is pretty small and the walls are thin so i was able to hear everybody partying and yelling and having fun until pretty late. Not only that but everyoe in my dorm were hanging out and talking with the lights on.so iwent to the front desk and asked for my money back and told him why. he apologized and went and turned the light off in the dorm and asked everyone on the property to turn the music down. it was very nice of him. so i go back to bed and i was soooo close to falling asleep on the top of the bunk bed. but then a couple rudely came in giggling and laughing dropping things and making all sorts of noise. then they got the bunk underneath me. And then started....doing stuff! you can imagine the whole bunk was moving. how the hell am i supposed to sleep?!?! they were moving around making noise for i dont know how long. it felt like hours.i busted out my earphones and listened to calming music but that doesnt stop the movement of the bed! and they kept getting up and leaving and comingback and doing the same thing for hours. i am exhausted. and no i have 11 hrs of work to endure. not to say this is the hostels fault but it would be really great if couples would get a privae room out of consideration for others...oh but i forgot...who has consideration these days!?!?! very unpleasant experience
