Peaceful village and smell the perfume which slips out from the doors and cracks, windows and paths, of this small spaces, imposant houses, colourful, this is centro storico del Paese di Tellaro; emotions I experience before discovering that a light attracts me from the bottom, I saw the sea and its horizon, and the sun blinds me; a choreography of dances, a spectacle created by the times, the village before me, the reality, the rocks appears, the market town , the music of the sea behind me takes me over and I continue to dream in this charmant ambiance of centro storico in this beautiful paese.

Punta Corvo

Magnificent black-sand beach at the base of a very steep trail down the cliff through beautiful forest. Bring water! You will need it. How hard is it to get to? There are about 650 irregular “steps” cut into and built out of the dirt and sometimes it is slow and slightly scary going. If anyone in your party is not in good shape or afraid of heights you might want to let them sit it out. But dozens of fit young people bounded past us, in both directions, so if you’re one of those it’s fine. In any case, if you go slow enough you will be fine – it would be very hard to actually fall a long way. On the other hand, while we were on the beach a woman came down limping badly, having apparently fallen and maybe twisted an ankle. A first aid boat was summoned and she swam out to it and left that way rather than having to climb back up. How crowded? At 4pm on a sunny Thursday in late July the beach was moderately crowded but not jam packed. It is a pretty small beach, maybe 100 meters from one end to the other (beautiful rock walls at either end) and only maybe 40 meters from waterline to cliff, so with a couple of hundred people on it it looks well used.
