The Do Eat Better Experience food tour is a walking tour around the historical center of Verona. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities. Do Eat Better Experience tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing Italian culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. This is the reason why we accept small groups only: we want to focus on a genuine exchange and give to each tourist the highest attention possible. Please, note that the tour is always run in English and Italian; other languages upon request.

The view from the garden was amazing. Jacopo was very informative about the wine making process, how to pair them with food, and how to tell the quality of the wines made in Italy. Each wine that he brought out had its own distinct flavor based on the process of how it was made and it made the experience more enjoyable. If you haven't had a chance to try some Italian wine but are interested, this is a great place to start!

My husband and I did the private Online Fresh Pasta and Tiramisù Cooking Class today and it was simple incredible. It was our first cooking class of any kind and it was perfect. So well paced, easy to follow along, and fun! It felt so natural at times I forgot we were on Zoom. Definitely recommend, and would do it again.

Francesco was absolutely brilliant. Despite Juliet's House being closed due to the storm damage the previous day, he organised a one-off visit to Club de Juliet where my my daughter was able to answer one of the many letters addressed to Juliet arrive every year - a real highlight for her. He then undertook an amazing experience around Verona and topped everything off by booking our lunch for us at a restuarant that had formed part of the tour! The care and attention was such that he organised his colleague (Maria) to meet us and take us to Juliet's House the following day so that we didn't miss out on that experience. The photo's that Maria took were superb and allowed u to have a picture of the experince together as a family. I can highly recommend this experience and perhaps the highest compliment I cna pay both Francesco and MAria is that for that day (and indeed the rest of our stay) we felt like true Veronese citizens. Thank you.

I wanted to send a gift of wine to someone in Verona, and I reached out to Sara for help. She was extremely helpful and very generous with her time, and always replied quickly and kindly to all of my questions. With her excellent wine knowledge, she helped me put together a selection of local Italian wines and get them delivered (with no charge for the local delivery!). She even took the time to translate and hand write a beautiful letter to include with the wines. I can't say enough about her gracious professionalism. I look forward to a day when I can travel to Verona again and enjoy some of the wine and food tours that Sara and Virginia offer. If I could rate them higher than five stars, I would!

7. In love with Slow Food! - La Botteghetta's gourmet tour

Via Leoncino, 31, 37121 Verona VR, Italy LA BOTTEGHETTA

In this wonderful tour, will be presented the Slow Food Presidia of Verona such as Stortina, Monte Veronese, Broccoletto di Custoza, Melo Decio di Belfiore and much more, listing their origins, the characteristics of each product and the production methods. The less distance the food you eat has to travel, the fresher and, likely, more nutritious the food will be for you. Slow Food is the antithesis of fast food. Proponents of the slow food movement believe food should be grown and bought locally, prepared with care and consumed with appreciation. In a world where we can get cheap, processed food and gobble it down without even leaving our cars, Slow Food seems like a throwback to a different era. The focus is not only on nutrition, but also on preserving culture and heritage as it relates to food. What's Slow Food Presidia of Verona? Let's find out with us!

Inclusions: Italian and English Guide, Salami of Stortina Veronese, Monte Veronese (cheese), Still water, Sparkling water, It is possible to request combinations with selected wines), TripAdvisor Experiences brokerage fee, Food tasting, Local guide, Snacks, Bottled water

Exclusions: Alcoholic drinks (available to purchase), Gratuities

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our family during our visit to La Botteghetta. The food and wine were absolutely delicious! The lady who did a tasting was very nice, knowledgable and it looked that she knew everything inside out about the wine and cheese from their region. We were very impressed! Also, the location is great, only a couple of minutes away from the town centre. If you are staying in Verona, I would highly recommend this place!

We had an enjoyable tour with Julia. We walked past the Colosseum, and saw the Arche Scaligere, Piazza del Signori, Piazza delle Erbe and Juliet's House. We learned about the architecture in Verona and the symbols used to indicate support for the Holy Roman Empire (and not for the Papal States). This tour covered about half of Verona's main attractions and did so with an economical use of time.
