In Krakow, Katowice and district and Warsaw travel on public buses and trams is free if you are 70 years of age or older. You must carry passport or ID card to prove age. Warsaw Mwtro is also free to over-70s but you need to get a platform card from station to get through platform gates. For further information see these city’s transport websites for concession fares. Note that neither Katowice nor Warsaw info offices have maps of their systems. Krakow has but very out of date due to route changes and continuing engineering work. Chris has a comfortable car and social distances. We asked him to do our airport-hotel transfer and four trips, Jewish Quarter, Schindler’s Factory, Salt Mines and of course Auschwitz. Went as smooth as clockwork. Chris is personable, knows his stuff and delivers in an informative way. Bespoke private service. Faultless 6 stars. Nice guy, follow this advice. You get what you pay for but he is a bargain.
