I'm an avid car enthusiast who loves the creativity that has went into the making of an automobile. This museum is not just a car museum...its an art museum where people have taken metal and horsepower and have created elegant restorations and works of art! The tapestry's are the cars and the artist the creators. If you go to Gilmore's, take the time to savor the elegance of each vehicle and savor what is on display. Thanks to the Gilmore staff for keeping this art gallery and the grounds impeccable!!

MOO-ville Creamery

A family fun destination with great, fresh dairy products! Visit MOO-ville for old fashioned down-on-the-farm fun and flavor. At MOO-ville, there is no question where our products come from - just look up the hill at our farm. We are a one source creamery "we only use our own milk from our own cows"!

I stopped in for some ice cream (Butterfinger Moo-valanche) and just to check the place out. There is a lot more than just ice cream there. There is a large (free) petting farm, there are tours you can take, and a shopping area. They had a Halloween event for kids just before I arrived. There is alot going on there and the ice cream is excellent. Worth a drive to visit with the kids.

Yankee Springs Recreation Area State Park

Great beach areas and perfect for social distancing while enjoying a few hours by the water. We came back later and took a long walk, too.... even saw deer wondering in the open areas of the park. They do have a small fishing pier, but no luck catching anything! Great place to launch your boat, too!

Tujax Tavern

Reviewed By 249karlh - Kalamazoo, United States

I driven past Tujax for 10 years while travelling for work and finally started stopping by after moving in the early spring of 2016. My first stop was for a quick beer but I was surprised to learn they also brew their own! Additionally, their menu is far beyond typical bar fare. While you can't go wrong with a burger, they change their specials daily (think gastro pub) and have great pizza, too. My favorite, when it is on the daily menu, is panfried walleye. Expect generous sides and fresh vegetables along with a killer creme brule topped with fresh berries. For beer, the bourbon stout is a great choice (if you like heavy brews).

Great place for a fun quick float. The staff was very accommodating amid everything going on. Jake(not from State Farm) was a fantastic shuttle driver and made the trip even better. We’re still chuckling a week later!

We went on a Friday night to get fish. It was a bit of a wait at 6:00, but not bad. It's a great place where locals gather to enjoy some excellent food and cold beverages. Prices are great, service is good and the atmosphere is up north fun. If the weather is good you can even sit outside....in Michigan, that might be 2-3 months...HA . But give the Sand Bar a try.
