Romantic getaway hotel
Reviewed By Martin KWe went for a romantic weekend, looked for something nice and quiet, and this totally made our wishes come true. Hotel is small, only maybe 15 rooms, all renovated and redecorated recently. Location is great if you look for sports (touristic or bicycle, ski running in winter time) or romantic walks in the beautiful nature all around. We had very nice weekend there, and will definitely come back. Hotel also has one big room equipped with toys and furniture for children, you can basically leave them there for the whole day. The only thing we didn't like was that if we were there to stay for a longer period, and wanted to go out in the evening, there's nowhere to go, the hotel is the only place. Closest bigger city is about 10 miles away...

Clean rooms but the restaurant is nothing special
Reviewed By gdifeliciStayed there one night, the apartment room was large, 2 double bed and a single sofa bed with a large bathroom and separate toilet. The single room was much smaller but sufficient for a short stay. Opposite there is an Albert hypermarket (7-22) which also supports as backup parking as the internal area is limited. The rooms were clean with a lot of electricity points, however the corridors smelt of smoke. Breakfast costs 120CZK (~5EUR) but includes free tea and coffee, bread and jam and a choise of a hot egg dish from the menu - so not too bad. However we did stay in the restaurant for dinner which was nothing special. All dishes besides the meat broth were rather bland.

Housed in a building of the former Cistercian monastery of Žďár, the Penzion v Kapli enjoys a scenic location next to a pond. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are available.Because of the historic structure, each room is different in size and style. They all come with a private bathroom including toiletries and features a satellite TV. Bicycles and ski equipment can be stored in a separate room on site.Breakfast is served every morning in the lounge, which occupies the former church. A bar and a café is there as well.Within an 6-minute walk you can reach the UNESCO-protected Pilgrimage Church of St. John of Nepomuk. The next ski slope is 12 km away. A bus stop is located on the castle grounds and the Žďár Train Station is a 10-minute walk away.
Pleasant accommodation, above-standard cuisine and above all, extremely helpful staff.

It is a great place that can enhance even such a strong experience from a tour of the "Santini" church on Zelená hora. Sensitively incorporated restaurant in the chapel of the former monastery, offering interesting meals, relaxation in the adjacent garden and, above all, helpful staff.

We only stay one night but the receptionist was very efficient and our room was on the second floor Twin room, large, decorated nicely, complete with sofa stools and tv and Wi-Fi. The bathroom was very clean and nicely kept. Fresh towels were available and we would stay here again. Well recommended. Ps. Drinks bar available across courtyard but closed around 9pm

We became Santini´s stone-dressers. We were in Táferna (taverna in Itálien) for food and drinks as travellers.

Strategical location for visit church Zelená hora basilica minor 10 minuts, museum in palace of Kinsky 5 minuts on foot. car park free, accommodation nice.

Reviewed By LWO33První týden v srpnu jsme sem s třemi dětmi přejížděli z jistého poměrně luxusního hotelu na Vysočině. Měli jsme strach ze srovnávání, ale bylo to "v pohodě". Pokojíky sice nejsou největší, ale stejně jsme "domů" chodili jen přespat... Ani umístění asi není ideální, i když silnice před penzionem není příliš frekventovaná. (Škrdlovice mají obchvat!) Penzion je ale zřejmě dost populární, protože se zdálo, že měli stále plno. Ani na stravování si vlastně nelze stěžovat - prakticky jediným "problémem" bylo to, že jsme nikdy dopředu nevěděli, co bude k večeři (snídaně jsou bufetové). Takže jsme vlastně řešili jen to, že děti nechtěli jíst houby, kterými byla vylepšena houbová omáčka (kterou by jinak jistě bez reptání snědly) a nechutnaly jim poněkud bramboráčky, kterí byly navíc poněkud přesmažené a tedy tvrdé. Vesnice je pár minut autem od žďárského zámku (kde mj. pořádají prohlídky pro děti) i od dětského zábavního parku Salon v Polničce. K rybníku Velké Dářko je to pěšky méně než půl hodiny a autem pár minut (problémem může být parkování!). Na východním okraji vsi je u hotelu U Hrocha minigolf se zvláštními figurkami a malá sklárna, kde mohly děti chvíli pozorovat výrobu skleničky. Bohužel až dodatečně jsme se dozvěděli, že kousek severně, v obci Karlov, je další veřejně přístupná sklárna...
