The tour was so much information about the men who performed here and the women who left let their mark on stage. You can just imagine the Era while viewing this time capsule in Miami, OK. We were fortunate enough to meet two gals who brought this magical art back to the public.

Mickey Mantle's Homeplace Age 3-13

Reviewed By PhoenixRobin - Phoenix

We almost bagged this because of the reviews that said it was hard to find. Don’t believe those reviews. It is easy to find and I’m glad we made the time to drive by. Directions: Drive north on Main Street in Miami; it forks right into Route 66 and runs into the town of Commerce. Take the Route 66 branch because the day we went Main Street (left branch) was closed to traffic. Then turn west on C Street. The home is right on the corner of C Street and Quincy. There is a plaque in front; the tin shed Mickey used for a backstop; you can look into the windows. There is a little furniture inside; I don’t know if they open the home on occasion. From Miami, the drive to the home, time spent looking around and the drive back takes about a half hour.

Route 66 Vintage Iron Motorcycle Museum

Reviewed By Warren007 - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

On our route 66 adventure we stopped in to the Vintage Iron museum. It had less than expected and not such a big range. It's main feature is the amount of information about Evil Knievel, his exploits and the damage he did to his body. I am an Indian fan and there was a display but not very inspiring. There is quite a large display of old style helmets and the shop does have some nicer bike stuff for sale.
A quick stop only if you are driving by and want to add another route 66 experience.

We stopped here along a "casino trip" hitting multiple ones. We did play a little of everything and felt good leaving just a little down but we all did enjoy our time and play. Some of the 99% payback machines I spent over $20 on and never hit 1 red cent!! How is that possible?? Anyway stop by and try! The new look from years ago is nice!

Phil here again, took the Misses to Stables for the all you can eat King Crab Legs. If you're in Miami, OK on a Tuesday evening and have $90 burning a hole in your wallet stop by and have a great meal. We were seated immediately and from the beginning they did a great job, the staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. They kept the crab legs coming hot and fresh as soon as we asked for more. Very good food for a special night out with the Misses. Definitely worth the money for the amount of crab legs you can eat, and yes we will be back someday.

GAR Cemetery

Reviewed By Texas_Travel_1 - Dallas, Texas

While every community has its own cemetery, it is rare to find a cemetery that contains British World War II veterans (flyers) buried next to American Civil War veterans.

GAR Cemetery is the only grave site I visited that contains an Indian chief who paid for his own bronze statute.

An American lady is buried next to the British veterans with a stone paid for by The British Military.

This cemetery is great for families with small children and is free.
