Wow, these guys are great. We had a blast going down the Deschutes river with River Drifters. The entire experience was fantastic. From booking, and updating our booking the day before, to arriving, simple paperwork, clean changing and bathrooms, everything was organized and handled professionally. Our guides were amazing, Sophia, Mike, and Garrett are fantastic, totally pro, and we knew we were in good hands from the moment we got in the raft. Can't say more than it was great and they were great, would 10/10 recommend both an experience on the Deschutes river and specifically River Drifters !!! Thanks

Beyond Perfect does not even begin to describe how all 9 of us girls felt after rafting with HDRO. We flew out from Southern California for a bachelorette party to take on the rapids and our expectations were beyond met! The entire staff at HDRO was super accommodating and made us feel so welcomed. HUGE credit for our great experience would go to our guide DJ. He was the most patient and encouraging guide who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time ever. DJ's kindness and vibrant energy really took the entire experience and added even more excitement and joy.
We would highly recommend HDRO to everyone !! Being a group of first timers we all instantly became very comfortable with the river and raft due to DJs guidance. There is plenty of time to swim in the river, relax and take in the views and get an great rush of adrenaline with all the different rapids. Lunch was great and the beauty that you are surrounded by the entire time is just breathtaking!
Thank you so much HDRO and DJ for a wonderful experience that we will remember forever!

Took a full day trip with a couple of friends on the Deschutes--several 2-4 class rapids & relaxing calm stretches in between. Our guide Derek really made the day special with his competence, sense of humor, and knowledge of the river and local wildlife (though beware of believing half of what he says--he does like to pull your leg!). We felt like he really enjoyed being on the river with us versus it just being his job--he took several side trips to allow us to swim and body surf in the rapids and do a high jump. The whole All Star experience was clean and efficient--highly recommend!

We loved our rafting trip with DRA. It was exhilarating and informative. The lunch was very well done. I loved that it was away from the crowds in the park. The equipment was well maintained and we felt safe on our river adventure.

My partner and I stayed at the Imperial River Co. Lodge and had booked an 18 mile all day rafting trip with them the next day. The accommodations were great, all though a little on the noisy side (a bachelor party upstairs).
The rafting trip left from their front lawn, floated down The Deschutes River for 11 miles, then we were bused back to the lodge for a pretty good barbecue lunch, then bused up river for the last 7 mile leg ending at the lodge. Exciting river, good group in the boat of 6 plus guide, and we were first onto the river in the morning avoiding the backlog at the public launch of the other rafting companies (upwards of 100 boats floating the river in unison (not a pleasant site as we watched being ahead of them all).
Great trip, exciting river, well organized and very good guides. The accommodations were good as well. We would book again. Only difference would be we would book the night after our float trip rather then heading off to Bend, Or.

When we came around the corner and saw the Deschutes river the beautiful gray rocks the white water and the haphazard looking wooden platforms that people fish off of it was just wonderful! I will have to admit I did think that this was quite a rapid an later realized it was a fall! But it is just lovely and I enjoyed this drive so much. If you are in the area I would make a point to see it as it can be seen without even getting out of the car if you choose!

We went whitewater river rafting yesterday with Forward Paddle Rafting Co. on the Deschutes River just outside of Maupin, OR. There were 6 of us all in one group and they were able to accommodate us all in one raft. The equipment was is great condition, their focus was on safety and they took little steps to ensure that we were not only safe but had a good time. Our guide was Jeremiah and he took time to explain each rapid and what our responsibilities were. All of us have been whitewater rafting before. We have even been through this same stretch before only with other companies. This company was heads and shoulder above anyone else we have used.
