I was in Logan, Utah for the summer and made the drive to Bear Lake twice. The drive thru the canyon is beautiful and came out in Garden City. We went to Cooper's Restaurant (just after the Idaho border sign) for lunch and then decided to drive all the way around the lake, half is in Utah and the other half in Idaho as it's 20 miles long. Have to have a raspberry shake in Garden City at the end and altho the lines are long, it's well worth it.
My 2nd time there I was hoping to rent a bike and ride the Bear Lake trail 4.2 miles each way, but it was way busy so I went back to Cooper's and had a drink called "The Caribbean of the Rockies" which was a blue Margarita, the color of the drink resembles the turquoise color of the lake and I sat out on the deck with the beautiful lake view. It's an enjoyable place and should not be missed if you are anywhere near this area.

Bear Lake is a beautiful 9 hole mountain golf course with an amazing view of Bear Lake. Full pro-shop, rental equipment, carts, and any thing you might want. On site Cooper's Restaurant and Sports Bar offering wonderful food or drink after a great round. Guaranteed to be a delight!

Just loved this. 9 hole course. Quite easy. Brilliant condition. Family run business. Very friendly. Best place locally for photography. Great restaurant and pool (not sure whether golfers can use or not). One of the honking hrs of a month long trip for me. Stunning g

We went to see the latest version of Juanito Bandito and it was great. Every year the musical changes but the character is the same and he is hilarious. They also do another musical on alternate nights that changes each year. Talented kids - CLEAN and refreshing.

I've been going to this golf course for several years now, and I'm always blown away by the views and the occasional wildlife that parades across the fairway. This year however, my trip was "haunted" by a persistent course marshall, that seemed like he had nothing better to do than watch our foursome. Granted, we were a little slower than usual, but that was due to an injured player, and we were happy to let other golfers play through. The ladies in the pro shop were great, but when we got ready to return the cart, a rather rude employee took the cart from us mumbling something about people waiting. This would not have been so bad, had it not been for the fact that there were several other people unloading carts like we were. It was frustrating knowing that we had paid the same amount as everyone else had, but we felt we were being rushed to get done and get out. Too bad. We've loved going to this course, but will not be returning. We will be heading to Bear Lake West next time to play that course. Hopefully with better treatment.

Wow! This hike was gorgeous. If your scared of heights this trek is not for you. The trail climbs, and climbs til finally you reach the China Wall. I saw my first rattlesnake sunning right on this trail. I see black snakes all day long in Florida but this snake was hissing, and rattling his tail. A little scary! The hike was difficult for me as I wasn't quite aclimated to the elevation but boy was I glad I did it. Breathtaking views!
