Beautiful place to snorkel . 50km drive from Exmouth (approx) in the Cape Range National Park. $13 for a day pass into the national park. You do need to take everything with you. There is nothing there. This makes it beautiful but, take lunch, drinks, a pop up shade or umbrella. The sun is very hot . Fill up with fuel in Exmouth. Take all your snorkel gear. It is fantastic . We went with a teenager and ten year old and snorkel all day . We saw turtles, dolphins, reef sharks, so many amazing things . The water was warm. Well worth the trip.

As written elsewhere, the creek itself is a beautiful reminder of the red rock country of the southwestern US near Sedona, Arizona. Here it's possible to spot wallabies, osprey nests, several varieties of birds. Waters are clear and mangroves line the shores. Lovely spot, a little Eden.

The drive out to the start is nice enough to put this on your itinerary. The road is a bit bumpy but most cars with normal clearance would do this easily enough. The weather was perfect and the views out to the ocean was beautiful as described in all of the previous posts. The terrain and exposed geology made this walk super interesting.
We packed a lunch and took about a 30 minute break while talking and enjoying the views. With that it roof 3 hours 45 minutes to complete. You could probably do it faster if you wanted to but I suggest you slow down a little bit and notice the differences with this place. It really is unique and beautiful.

Visited on a rather blustery day but didn't detract from the stupendous views out across the Indian ocean. History worth taking a look at but I had a knowledgeable guide in my son in law. Well worth a visit and visited later to view turtle egg laying at night. Go and see it's worth the drive out of town.

The visitor centre has a great information centre with information about the animals. On the day we were there, our questions were not answered well and seemed like we were interupting something.

That was in my things to do list Exmouth ! Such a great experience very informative trail with well explained to inform people how to approach this event. My wife and me went there in late december and we had a great day on the beach than we had a great sunset time to enjoy and finally since start the dark the first turtles came out from the water....people sitting on the dunes were looking facinating as I was, just amazing look at this very big turtles looking for the best spot where nest the eggs.
So now the dark is more intensive and the turtles are digging and what happen ? More tourist are coming and touching the turtles and patting them like dogs, so suddenly most of them as they came just gone away soon scaried by this stupid tourist, and the people like me waiting for them from 5 hours just got so angry.
I think my story can help so respect first please.

Mature Aged Couple travelling in 4WD. Track out is rocky but can be easily/steadily traversed by 4WD. There were a number of 2WD's travelling there as well. Great views of range, bush and wildflowers in season. Couple of walks to the top of hte hills at the end. TAKE ADEQUATE WATER and SUN PROTECTION
