If you are near the vicinity of Buje do drop by. it is not a shop so you will need to be looking for it. The Olive Mill is in Kracisa and you drive down an unmarked road to get to it. You get a nice view along the way. These guys are award winning olive miller and they use some of the latest eco-friendly technology to cold press the olives. A family runned business and very friendly. Just drive in and ask to poke around the production plant. They will drop everything and give you an impromptu tour which is wonderful. October is the harvest month if you are looking for some action. You can also buy their extra virgin olive oil to take home. All of their olives are cold pressed within 24 hours after harvest. As you would notice I am a fan!

Zigante Tartufi Shop

Reviewed By B265 - Bromont, Canada

Buje is 2000 years old. There is something to see: very old buildings (closed?) which has been restaured such as churches and campaniles, towers, etc... When we where there , very few tourist were visiting.. The old city is 10 minutes walking from the newer portion. But when we reach it, it was empty I cannot understand this lack of interest . There was no one in the city who could help us. We bought truffle products at this tartufi shop. They have a good choice. But you can find the same products elsewhere as Zigante is all over Istria. So do not use your time in vain. Skip Buje. This is sad.

St. Servulus church

Reviewed By Brun066 - Florence, Italy

The St. Servulus church rises in the heart of the ancient Buje town, on the highest point of the hill where the town is located. So the traditional town's nickname, "Sentinel of Istria", is particularly suited to the imposing bell tower of the church, which is open to visits and climbing on which (a highly recommended experience) enjoys a wide circular Panorama, which in the clear days embraces land belonging to four nations (Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Austria), as well as the not far Adriatic Sea.
It's no surprise therefore that in such an eminent place, then loaded with symbolic values, before a Christian church a Roman temple was built.
As for the church itself, its rough facade contrasts with the elaborate and elegant portal that occupies its central part.
The interior dates back to the eighteenth century, when a radical remake of the previous church, dating back to the 13th century, was carried out (many elements of the ancient church are still visible on the façade).
The interior has an imposing barrel vault with frescoes. Among other items, the statues of the saints Servolo and Sebastiano, by the sculptor Giovanni Marchiori,
deserve a mention, as well as it deserves it the imposing organ, dating back to the restoration of the church (1791) and manufactured by a renowned Venetian master, Gaetano Callido.

Bella chiesa, in tipico stile slavo.
Gli interni sono molto più belli rispetto all'esterno, dove il giallo delle pareti è troppo invasivo.
Bellissima la statua della Madonna, cui la chiesa è dedicata
