Brooks Aqueduct

This 3km long concrete aqueduct was built 90 years ago to bring irrigation water across a long, shallow valley. Today, it tells the story of the Canadian Pacific Railway and Alberta's Eastern Irrigation District.

I work for the Eastern Irrigation District, rightful owner of the Aqueduct. If you are into Alberta History, this is must visit. The interpretive center is only open during the summer, however the old infrastructure can plainly been seen from the road. It's hard to believe this is how water was carried in earlier times. Even though the structure has been frequently visited by local teens and their party groups, the structure remains intact and I recommend if your into nostalgia to come visit. My children loved it.

Tillebrook Provincial Park

Reviewed By PackCarandGo - Edmonton

We booked into this campground this summer as we were trying to get into Dinosaur Provincial Park but couldn't not find a campsite suitable for our RV. We stayed here for 2 nights on our way home.
This campground is right off of highway 1. It is very easy to pull into, good road, new buildings, showers kept clean, grounds well kept etc.
The town of Brooks is very close if you need gas, groceries, etc.
Dinosaur Provincial Park is about a 30-40 min Drive so this campground was a perfect location to drive to the park for a day trip.
There are trees in each loop between each campsites providing a bit of privacy for you. The sites are also exactly as depicted on the Alberta Provincial booking site which is amazing.
If you are looking for a campground for a night or you want to explore the area I would recommend this spot.

Duffy's Fun Center

Reviewed By queenofhearts7 - Medicine Hat, Canada

We weren't sure what to expect but were very impressed. We went to Duffy's for our two grandson's birthday party, they are 2 and 4 years young. The centre is very clean and well maintained. The staff was great, so helpful when we needed direction. We didn't have any meals, just the kids did for the party, the chicken fingers and fries looked good. The party rental we had was upstairs and it was perfect. This indoor fun centre had something for everyone, so many rides, and games, it was fun to see our varied group of people and children have so much fun!

Brooks and District Museum

Well worth a visit for visitors and locals. They have a good selection of pioneer homes, church, school, etc. Step back into the early 20th century to reminisce and take a trip down memory lane. Recently attended the Canada Day festivities, a real blast.

Duke of Sutherland Park

This park has so much to offer! If you live in Brooks, or are just traveling through, the park is located just off the Trans Canada Highway and is easily accessible. It's a great place to take the kids to cool off at the splash park, or play at the handicap accessible play structures or even get in your daily dose of exercise at the outdoor fitness park. Hey, it even has two ball diamonds for the baseball/softball enthusiast!

Nice track to play on any given day. Staff was kind and helpful, even thought the beer cart must have gotten lost for the back nine. Great food and the renovations in the club house are going to be great. Course in excellent shape with renovations taken place only a couple years ago. I would recommend playing here any time as you can easily get on.
