We came here every morning with our 7 year old to check out tide pools, throw the football, and build sand castles. It was a great quiet beach with beautiful views. I’d highly recommend getting off the beaten path if you’re in sayulita.

Sayulita Beach

Reviewed By 767avac - Vancouver Island, Canada

Sayulita, the town and the beach, is yet another experience I won't forget soon. It's crowded, noisy, full of street vendors, too many tourists, surfers, beach goers, dogs, dogs, dogs (in a good way), traffic bumper to bumper, just an amazing place to sit down and watch it all happen. From all the steamers and colour banners flying above the cobblestone roads, to the hot mexican watermelon candy, to the endless parade of gringos to and from the beach, to the piles of garbage in the streets, it's in the middle of nowhere yet clearly over-capacity town. For myself, nice to visit, but way too busy to consider staying there unless it was a seriously quiet hideaway from all the noise and mayhem on the streets. Lots of stores, restaurants, bakeries and such. The beach really was amazing and beautiful. The waves were huge but we did not go too far on the beach as it was clearly overcrowded. We found parking early on in the day, but later, don't count on it. Just bumper to bumper all through the town all day. Wow is all I can say.
