The 8 Best Playgrounds in Sydney, New South Wales

October 21, 2021 Veronika Gaddis

Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The marvelous Sydney Opera House looks like a great origami sailboat, floating peacefully in a harbor. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of The Rocks and then take in a street performance on the Circular Quay before heading into the Museum of Contemporary Art. The views from the Sydney Tower Eye observatory are epic – use this chance to get to know the layout of the city from high above.

It is always nice to see a park that is being used to intensively by its locals. Nice lawn, beautiful view over the bay with many boats and yaughts. People with doggies, lots of kids, people running or doing exercises. Nice park.

Skyzone

Reviewed By Bina1207 - Sydney, Australia

We had a fun birthday party in there. Kids loved it, and for us, parents, it was tons of fun to watch them having fun. Staff is helpful and dedicated. Catering was easy, a whole party was easy. A hint: if you are booking a party, book it for less popular times (staff will advise you on what they are). Having too many people around made it a bit overwhelming for everyone; and it was annoying when random kids decided to join our party.

Brays Bay Reserve

Brays Bay Reserve is a nice and quiet park. It is perfect for families with young children, as there is a nice playground area. The park is also good for people who would like to sit and relax for a while and perhaps have a picnic. There is seating as well, but you can also sit on the lovely grass. The views over Parramatta river are fantastic. There is plenty of free parking.

Fitzroy Gardens

Reviewed By JnVSydney - Greater Sydney, Australia

Located at the conjuncture of Darlinghurst road and Macleay street, is the wonderful leafy Fitzroy gardens. Home to the Alamein Fountain, (the symbol of Kings Cross), and the very popular Saturday Farmers Market, (see review). In the heat of the day this is a lovely place to sit, as the leafiness (from the very old large trees), makes the gardens considerably cooler there is plenty of seating to enjoy, a kids play area, that is very popular, bordering it are many eateries to enjoy.
