The 8 Best Nature & Parks in Winter Park, Colorado (CO)

October 6, 2021 Velvet Champine

Despite its name, Winter Park is really a destination for all seasons. The Winter Park resort draws skiers and snowboarders in the winter and mountain bikers in the summer. Trailblazers may take to the woods on snowmobiles or cross-country skis in the snowy months, but when the sun comes out those same trails are perfect for hiking and the water is high for rafting. Spring wildflowers, summer wildlife, fall colors and crystalline winters make Winter Park a true natural wonder all year long.

We came back after 4 years to give this place another go, only for 2 days, and we had a blast. Kids went to ski school to improve their skills while we cruised mostly the green runs. It is a well organised place and relatively easy to book lift tickets, gear and lessons online. Hope we can return in the future.

This was our first time to try Coca Cola Tubing Hill. It was a blast! There were three different paths to tube down (slow, medium, fast). Our young son was able to do this on his own too! You don’t have to walk up the hill neither. There is a magic carpet to take you and your tube back up the hill
