A must do in South Andros. Our visit was organized through our resort Caerula Mar and guide was Barbara Jean. She’s full of facts, information and a great guide

Somerset Beach

This beach's beauty is best seen at low tide for a clear, wide stretch of white sand.

We were warned that there may be trash that washed ashore from nearby Nassau but we didn't see much at all. The beach had a few folks on it but for the most part was completely deserted. It's close to the military base but that didn't make it crowded since the base is mostly closed anyway. It's rare to find a 1 mile stretch of beach where there may be 1 or 2 people enjoying the beauty. Certainly worth visiting.
