Reviewed By Andrew CWe loved our room at this motel, which was spacious and had a well-stocked kitchen. We only had time for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. It was such a great change from the tiny rooms you get in some larger hotels.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By brianrF5138CNJust a quick one night stay before catching the ferry next day. Great location with a supermarket just across the road. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Unit was very spacious, clean and tidy. Great shower with good pressure. Easy onsite parking. Only comment would be that the bed was a bit firm for our liking.

Family holiday destination
Reviewed By JoezannaMy children and I spent 5 days at the Gateway Motel seeing the New Year in. The rooms were very spacious for an adult and 2 children, they were very well kept with staff servicing our room each morning. Perfect location to stay as it is central to the town center which makes walking the main street with children in tow a breeze. Just a 2 minute walk to access the supermarket, cafes, the family playground and water park located on the foreshore and not to mention the award winning bakery located at the front entrance. The staff were friendly and accommodating at all times. Really appreciated the staff turning the water sprinklers on the lawn to keep my children entertained in the afternoons as the heat was still in full force late in the afternoon made watching the kids play while cooking the BBQ in the entertainment area hassle free. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks Team.

A GEM FOUND BY CHANCE

It wasn’t until we arrived at the Broadway Motel, that a chance booking had turned up trumps. Location wise. Handy for travelling within the area: easy walking distance to the waterfront and Beachcomber Cruises: restaurants , cafes and convenience stores a short stroll. Our groundfloor unit was spacious, clean, and more than adequate. On site parking provided. Our hosts too, were friendly, accommodating, and happy to share their knowledge with us. Two nights came to an end all too quickly. David R

Reviewed By Ezra710Just a one night stopover before catching the ferry. Friendly staff. Shower pressure not great and need a bit soft for my liking but had all we needed. Convenient location, opposite countdown supermarket and (quiet/empty!) mall. Nearby food options and short walk to CBD.

Huge apartment perfect for families
Reviewed By nopar65We stayed one night at Te Mahia while waling the Queen Charlotte Track. This place is evidently full of returned families who spend their vacations here year after year. We had a huge room facing the water. The apartments are very well appointed with quality amenities and furnishings. There is a little cafe with a short menu and the office has a mini market and cafe open for breakfast.
