Reviewed By Sammy MAbsolute Paradise! visited here for our honeymoon and stayed in a Ocean Villa. The room was absolutely stunning, 2 floors with breath taking views. The staff were so kind and polite and would do anything for you they were all so lovely but big shout out to Nadheem and Littu, brilliant service and looked after us well every time we visited the resurant and the beach bar. a mention for both the main bar man in the ocean villas and on the island bar, i didn't get there name but they made the best drinks iv ever had (pina colada/lady killer and a coke was our usual order so hope they smile when they recognise who we are) absolutely brilliant break, loved every second of it. definitely recommend Island to visit. hope to see you all again soon and keep up the fantastic vibe.

Hondaafushi is located in the Northern Haa Dhaalu Atoll. The island measures about 500m at its widest point and has an approximately 2km long sandy beach. The lagoon in front of the beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Water sports enthusiasts will feel like a fish in water at Hondaafushi. Within a walking distance, the jetty on the west side of the island allows an easy entry to the house reef. A shuttle service of a special kind will be our boat shuttle to the approximately 25 different dive spots besides the house reef. This service is available for a small service fee. Night dives and early morning dives at the house reef are daily possible.
Lovely holiday
Reviewed By jo64bWe visited Hondaafushi as a family group booked through Voyage Prive, which was easy and smooth so will definitely use them again. A long journey which we were prepared for with a great boat ride to the island, exhilarating! The rooms were spacious and clean and the room boy did a great job daily for us. The food, buffet style was lovely and the chefs even told us they would cook anything else we fancied. The island is large, we have been to the Maldives 7 times all to different islands and this was the largest, personally we prefer the smaller islands. The sand and sea are lovely. Very windy by the pool but some lovely sunsets. Snorkelling not good and unfortunately we did have some bad weather for about 5 days, just be prepared for this if you travel in wet season. We feel the island would benefit from having another bar on the island it's big enough, the shop very small so take plenty of suntan cream and insect repellent. We wouldn't go back to the island we would always go to a different one. The price was very good.

Hidden Gem in the Indian Ocean

I was very pleasantly surprised to find this amazing property. Beautifully located and managed, warm hospitality and fabulous facilities. Rooms hold their own when I compare to other five star resorts I have been at. Food was delicious, cooked on site with a extremely impressive range to choose from. I plan to return with my family to enjoy the island as well as the comforts of ViluVeli Holiday Retreat. Special shout out to Weedath for her Hospitality and we hope to see you soon. The other advantage is that the property is located on a Airport Island and that means getting from Male to the Property is very easy and quick.

An island itself is a home for a local Maldivian community, all friendly and hospitable people. The guest house was opened in 2016 and run by a team of kind and dedicated professionals. Designed with style, all is very fresh and elegantly organized. Rooms are spacious, have air con, plenty of hot water. WiFi is excellent everywhere in the guest house. Everyday you have fresh beach towels and bottled water. Bedding is absolutely great, you’ll have a very good sleep. Cleaning is twice a day. Any request is responded timely and to the best. The food is simple & straightforward with fresh ingredients, including tuna, local reef fish, vegetables and fruits. The white-sand beach with clear turquoise water is located in literally 3-min walk and sun beds and umbrellas are provided. To sum up, I loved every each minute stayed at Nolhi Escape and would recommend to anyone who is looking for the best experience possible on the local island. THANK YOU TEAM of Nolhi Escape!

Great time and Relaxation
Reviewed By Ulysse_GaillardWent to the Maldives for 10 days in January 2020 and stayed at Fanhaa Guest House. The island is really beautiful and local, almost no tourists there as the only resort is far away and people stay there. The beach is only 10min away from the hotel by walk (and its empty so it's entirely possible to wear bikini or swimsuit) and entirely empty. Afsal, who owns the guesthouse, has been wonderful : he's extremely knowledgeable, has great English, and is really attentive and helpful. The meals were pleasant (especially when local) and the entire atmosphere was really calm and relaxing, as there is barely any noise in the island. I recommend this guesthouse if you wish to experience a more local side of the Maldives in a quiet and soothing vibe.
