Charming, comfortable and wonderful hospitality

Reviewed By Jo B

We were so pleasantly surprised at the hospitality and comfort we were able to enjoy at The Lady Grace. Comfortable, clean, charming and perfectly located to enjoy all the village has to offer. We most certainly will be back! We stayed for two weeks and wished it could have been for longer.

Disappointing and overpriced

Reviewed By Graykieontheroad

While the scenery was lovely and the place clean and well fitted this stay was definitely not worth a R1000 a night. Access to our room was through the living area of the host and the experience was more like a stay in a boarding house. Amenities advertised with the room on Lekkerslaap were not made available (WIFI) or only in the private residence downstairs (fireplace). For this price point it lacked many of the little details for a comfortable stay like decent towels, a working bath, privacy and outdoor access for the room.

So much potential

Reviewed By Meganvdp

This small property has so much potential and the new owners are engaging and hands on. That said the website and booking information needs updating and this hotel needs so much love and restoration. Our rooms above the bar, were clean but very basic. Based on poor information we were forced to take two small rooms rather than a cottage. There is no breakfast offering, no servicing of the rooms on a Sunday and no offering of food or beverage on a Sunday as the pub is closed. The location is good but does mean that it can be noisy and the business next door plays music late into the evening on the weekend. There is also no tv or lounge area for the rooms in the main building, therefore you are confined to a bedroom during downtime, or an old lounger next to the pool. Secure off street parking is a bonus.

A gem in Greyton

Reviewed By Capie

We were so pleased to have chosen to stay at Via's on our first visit to Greyton. The room was very nicely appointed and opened onto a private guest patio which we made a lot of use of. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, and the place is very well located, with everything in walking distance.

Best nature farm stay I have ever seen

Reviewed By Connector766063

The surrounding natural landscape is out of this world. Trees and mountain views as far as you can see. There is also a big dam on the farm where we had a great swim. Routes marked out on the farm take you to a beautiful waterfall in the mountain. Cant wait to come back to this piece of untouched heaven.

A fabulous experience in all respects

Reviewed By Gail M

My sister and I spent 2 nights at the Blue Door and loved everything about it. The property is very comfortably furnished and situated in a quiet, leafy side street about 3 minutes walk from the town centre. What really made our visit memorable though was the hospitality of our host Rita who knows the town and all its amenities like the back of her hand. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the many birds that are attracted by delicious concoction that Rita provides for them. I would recommend the Blue Door without hesitation.

A weekend Wedding Spoil

Reviewed By NeliaRoberts

From arrival to departure. If it wasn't for a beautiful wedding organised by Janet and a gorgeous local gal, we would never have been introduced to this amazing little gem. Personal touch from guiding me into my kept parking, not allowing me to touch my bags until they were placed in my room. A perfect wedding on site. Most courteous and helpful staff to a sad departure thinking 2 nights was just not enough. Thank you for making my visit warm, comfortable and so pleasant. And thank you for laying out a perfect setting for a beautiful wedding on the weekend of 21 May 2022. Much Love, Nelia Roberts (room9)
