The experience of seeing the "Statue of Unity" impressed upon me the size of the attraction is not important. It is the meaning that counts! Although comparable to the "Little Mermaid" in Copenhagen, Denmark in size, the fact that the "Statue of Unity" depicts unity between the citizens of Walker, Minnesota and their neighboring native nation - the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe - that is what is important!

After hiking many trails and walking dirt roads, we decided on a different venue for our evening walk with our dog. What a surprise Walker City Park was to us!
