We had a lovely day with Pere in Montserrat. He picks you up from Barcelona - in our case our air bnb, which is very convenient. We drove to Montserrat in a comfortable air conditioned mini van. Pere is full of interesting stories about the area and Catalan culture. He then presents three options for the hike. We chose the hardest one. He is an excellent guide - the hike had some climbing involved and we felt completely safe with his expertise. He knows so many legends and tales of the area also. A wonderful day. 100% would recommend. This is the first Tripadvisor review I have ever left and I felt compelled to do so because it was just so excellent. Bring a packed lunch during Covid for a lovely mountain picnic. Thank you Pere!

Explore the Pyrenees and admire its alpine vegetation and majestic peaks. After our arrival in a picturesque village of Queralbs, we will enjoy an exciting rack railway ride to the Nuria Valley at the altitude of 1954m. The iconic hotel and the shrine that host the Virgin of Nuria will suddenly appear as we enter the green valley on the train. Our explorations will begin with a refreshing stop at the local sacred spring Font de Sant Gil. If we look closely to the crystal clear pools beneath our feet, we will spot the local endemic brown trouts hovering in the stream. We will then continue to a higher section of the valley in order to soak in countless breathtaking sceneries and natural elements such as chirping marmots, gliding bearded vultures or perhaps grazing isards. We will find a suitable place for our picnic in the Bosc de la Verge. We will then visit the shrine of the Virgin of Nuria, the patron of fertility.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Mountain train Cremallera, Bottled water 0.5l, Hiking poles, Accident and liability insurance for the activity, Professional certified mountain guide (AEGM - TD2)

Adventure organiser is super friendly and positive person, all trip was full of interesting facts about Costa Brava location and Spain in general. Views what you can see during this kayaking tour does not need any feedback-they are just breathtaking. Thank you for such memorable day in Catalonia and hope to meet you during other adventures! We started with the wine tour. It was very much focused on how this winery, Albet i Noya, has chosen to make their wine. From the ecological practices to the science of how to avoid losing crops to fungi, it was all interesting and informative. They could really be on to some exciting innovations! The wine is wonderful. We got to try their sparking wine, which just won top prize. After drinking our last glass and enjoying our snacks, we went on the hike. It's a really nice loop - not difficult at all but refreshing . The vews were lovely of the vinyards, hills, trees, and mountains. Overall, well worth the time and money. Buen provecho!

This was our first experience of walking in snow shoes and Esteve looked after us so well. We are 70 and 71 years old an knew we had to try before we get to old. OK it was tough (for us) and we should get fitter before we do it again. But Esteve pushed us just the right amount and we always felt totally safe in his hands as he knows the mountains so well. Thank you Esteve we will recommend your company to all our friends and family.
