We booked a trip for a Montgolfière trip over Chenonceau and the Cher. GETYOURGIDE mentions that the maximum of participants is 10 persons for each ride. Upon arrival to our surprise we were 14... our surprise grew when hearing that we had to embark in two Jeeps to go to the departure ( 7+the driver per car ! = packed one against another ) When mentioning that this didn’t respect current measures for Covid, we got the answer that also in the gondola we would be stuffed one against another as well. And that therefor we had to wear a mask as desinfect our hands. Unsure if the montgolfière had been desinfected ( we could’nt see anyone doing this, the cars weren’t in any case . When telling that GETYOURGUIDE mentioned that the trips were limited to 10 participants, Mister France Montgolfière told us not without arrogance that the could write what they wanted but that it was not the problem of France Montgolfière ...When asking if we could take our own car for transfert ; that was impossible. Common sense would limit the number to 8 participants and foresee a transfer in mini-bus. We have been following strict hygienic rules by keeping distance at all times : the lack from the side of France Montgolfières is unacceptable and we didn’t want to participate under these circumstances. We asked full refund from Getyourguide... and we are fully entitled to get one.

We bought tickets to workshop about the flowers in Haute Provence (herbs) as well as making parfume. When we bought them we forgot to ask in which language the workshops would be. However, I did aologize at the start and later on for my bad French since we dont know that language (literally, though in my bad French). When we found out, we went back. The workshop would be in French. SAo we asked our money back explaining that we wouldnot be able to follow what was being said. Bluntly it was refused, saying that I spook really good French the other day. Confronted with that I actually twice apologized for my bad French, it ewas just refuked. Thanks to the great TouristOffice of Forcalquier (great team) we were able to get 70 euro's back from the 120 we payed. We were baffled. I am sure that what was happening here is that the man counted on the fact that we dont want to spoil our holliday with a fight. And, indeed, you get bad energy of that. However, it is stealing nevertheless. So, be warned: if you dont speak French, don't go.

This is a review about our experience "so far" with Christopher and Ooh Provence. A number of months ago, as usual, I did extensive research and found a photographer and I contacted him to see about a photo experience while in Marseille. He responded immediately and then told me about his tour company which extends beyond just photography. It was perfect...a guide that could help 2 amateur photographers get some unique shots in a great city plus learn about the history at the same time. I find this is a great way to explore a city. So, of course ,I booked and paid the deposit etc. and we confirmed our date. Then along came Covid 19 and I finally had to cancel .This company offers full refund up to 24 hours in advance of tour and Christopher had no problem with an immediate refund. I will add that is not the case with some hotels etc. I am so impressed with the customer service under very extraordinary circumstances and will definitely book with Ooh Provence in the future when we can return post Covid. Based on my experience so far I am sure we will have a great time touring Marseille and the surrounding area with Christopher. I often find the true test of a good travel company is how they handle unexpected problems and can be flexible. Christopher delivers on this for sure!!
