This is fairly close to the port, so maybe convenient to visit. I had previously experienced being on an island with wild, uncaged lemurs, so I found this very sad. There were VERY few uncaged animals of any kind. We went to a bird overlook/wetlands spot...no animals. We hiked up to a waterfall, which was nice and refreshing, but again...no animals.

I have learned a lot from a local passionate guide, who is an ancestor of King, who build this Forth in 19th century. He has also shed a light on the lives of locals in the 19th century and their everyday chores and most importantly trades which were taking a place in the harbour. I would highly recommend visiting this forth, if in the area.

A lovely place to eat drink. The chef is friendly and interacts about his specials. The view is peaceful and there are security gaurds around keeping the riff raff away.

If you ever wanted to tour a deserted island, this is almost it. There are VERY few actual residents, living in VERY basic accommodations (no electricity, for example). The lighthouse is only 197 feet tall. Built in 1932, it is the tallest lighthouse in Africa. It is no longer in use, but shows signs of recent functionality (a bank of car batteries), and is fairly well maintained. When you arrange a trip to the island out of Toamasina, the local guide will take you on a tour. I'm not exactly sure how you would get there without the local guide, but it's very easy to locate the lighthouse and climb the stairs. At the top, you'll enjoy a panoramic view and cool breezes, even on a brutally hot day.
There are NO concessionaires or rentals of any kind. Bring your own food and drink, along with snorkel gear to float in the welcoming Indian Ocean.

This PUB/BAR is located in Boulevard Joufferey in Tamatave close to some Hotels. This is the Only Best Place i found to enjoy your drinks without being harassed or disturbed by the Pickup/Call Girls.
They play really nice numbers so i will give 5stars for the Music, Drinks are little bit higher priced which helps to avoid cheap crowd to enter so you find quality people in the PUB/BAR.
Only problem is They Serve Pizza & Assorted Cheese Platter Only so if you plan to have the food after your drink and you are not Pizza Fan then this place is just to enjoy the Drinks and Music for you .

If you are looking for higher end gifts this is the place to be. While they are a bit pricey, they are beautiful. You'll find items from artisans all over Madagascar, along with tshirts, spices, sandals, bags, and many other things. They even bring items in from Tana, and will order specially for you if need be.

loin du centre ville de Tamatave, Pandora attire les vazahas en quête de rencontres , endroit bruyant par la musique très forte, et le marché de nuit sur la route conduisant à l'aéroport, beaucoup de monde, ambiance très chaude à cause température + femmes en quête de "bonheur"
