Rüsselsheim am Main is the largest city in the Groß-Gerau district in the Rhein-Main region of Germany. It is one of seven special status cities (implementing several functions that counties normally provide) in Hesse and is located on the Main, between Frankfurt and Mainz, only a few kilometres from its mouth in Mainz. I was there because of a exhibition of Marilyn Monroe. Big buildings with high roof. There is also a café where I drank a coffee and from this place u can go to the main.

Hallo zusammen,
an einem schönen abend nochmal durch den Park schlendern, die Enten im Teich füttern, am Tag in der Sonne auf der Wiese liegen, von dort aus ins Waldschwimmbad weiterlatschen, Fußball kicken. Im Herbst Drachen steigen lassen, hier kann mann seine Seele baumeln lassen!!! ;)))

Considering that the Opel Auto Factory at Rüsselsheim, (Hessen) Germany has about 28,000 workers, it's really like a city itself within the city of Rüsselsheim. Tours are offered daily for six Euros per person. English speakers can go on an English-speaking tour if arrangements are made in advance. Otherwise, tours are conducted in German.
The tour lasts two hours. It includes a good bit of walking and climbing stairs, so it would be difficult for those whose ability to walk is impaired. It is also be difficult for those pushing baby strollers due to the stairs.
An overview movie of the plant is shown; bus transportation is provided around the huge facility; there's plenty of time to ask your own questions of the knowledgeable guide -- and a TOO-QUICK look at the fantastic collection of Opel 'old-timers' -- going all the way back to the late 1800s when Opel started by making SEWING MACHINES!
Visitors get to see the press shop, the body shop, and the paint shop -- often while standing above the assembly line 'action' on platforms above the workers.
To prepare to understand the amazing and lengthy history of this factory, my suggestion is that you read the Wikipedia article "Opel" before you visit the factory because there is so much to learn and to appreciate.

Ich hatte mit Kollegen eine Führung durch die Festung - vorwiegend im Aussenbereich, gebucht. Da es schon früh dunkel wurde, wurde die Führung - sehr stimmungsvoll - mit Fackeln absolviert. Die Führung war sehr informativ und kurzweilig. Wir hatten einen unterhaltsamen Nachmittag!

It is like a pilgrim place to visit for a automobile engineer. It is thrilling to see such a test track (even when it is in ruins) which used to be one of the best few decades back.
It is really unbelievable that the track was built and used for high speed tests.
The quality of construction is still visible.

This place is also very well know for aircraft views. It is suitable for afternoon pictures and evening because of the sun position but for just seeing the aircraft you will have great experience at any part of the day because you are very close to the runway used for aircraft take-offs. In some cases they are departing just in front of you! Additionaly, you can see also landing or departures of aircrafts on another two runways!
