Nacka is the municipal seat of Nacka Municipality and part of Stockholm urban area in Sweden. The municipality's name harks back to a 16th-century industrial operation established by the Crown at Nacka farmstead where conditions for water mills are good. However, and somewhat confusingly, that spot is not densely populated today and the municipal seat is on land that once belonged to Järla farmstead on the other side of Lake Järla.

I myself was very fascinated funiculars when I was a little boy, and they were not so common in Sweden as in Switzerland or Japan. There is always a certain excitement in going and although this particular may not belong to the world's most exciting, so offer it anyway at a swanky ride with great views. Then one wonders why it was built and why it is blunted many more ...Think it is because there is not such a transport-efficient way to travel, more a form of slow joyride.

Enjoyed 1 hour of a wonderful boat ride through the tunnels in/around the city, got a glimpse of the city shoreline, the beautiful Djurgarden, posh city homes view and more.
The boat was completely covered making it safe for all weather but I would have preferred a more open one to soak in the fresh sea air, the Sunshine.
You can help yourself to beer and soft drinks while onbaord - as there is a small cafe on the boat itself.
The entire ride is accopanied with a tour narration that you can hear by plugging in the provided headphones and you can choose the language in which you want to hear the narrative. You can control the volume to suit your comfort level.
What I did not like was the Seating arrangement that was 2 sided (facing each other) making it very confusing when the tour narrative mentioned about an upcoming landmark on your left or right.

Current exhibition presents possible paths of urban development of Stockholm County with the focus on Nacka Municipality. Well done, but only possibly interesting if you're into architecture/urban planning and/or live in Nacka. Also some pictures of interesting sculptures in the County. Mostly in Swedish. Free entrance.
