Sorensen's

Cross-country trail system dotted with 30 rustic cabins.

Reviewed By LMotto - Rescue, United States

Sorensen's is an excellent lodge to have lunch while visiting Hope Valley. My wife and I love the Beef Burgundy Stew, and share a large bowl of the Berry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. We have eaten here many times. The restaurant is not large inside, but the new owners are adding a large outdoor dinning area. The lodge has many cabins to rent for summer or winter. We haven't stayed at the lodge yet, but we will soon. I hope this helps.

Grover Hot Springs State Park

Hot springs and state park. Great for hiking and camping.

Reviewed By Ohbygeorge

Three generations of our family have come to the springs for soaking and camping. Now, when we get to it this year maybe) it will be the fourth generation visiting for the first time. It has had everything we needed for over 60 years. It is clean and sanitary, there are precautions that swimming pools must take in order to be in business. If you need a California hot tub experience, I suggest you go out and make your own. We have always camped at the campground which also had been acceptable (EXCEPT for the motorhomes on steroids that feel the need to run their generators 24/7). Pick your campsite carefully; we once had a baby bear in a tree above our campsite that we were unaware of until dusk one night.
