As the earlier reviewers have noted, Hala's Hamaca Maya store in La Penita, Nayarit is the best if not only place on the Mexico Pacific Coast to find quality artisanal Mayan hammocks made in Yucatan. Note that the Puerto Vallarta store has been closed for years (those persistent web sites) and you should call (cel: 322-142-7062) or email ([email protected]) before just driving and expecting the store to be open, especially during Summer and early Fall, though changes in hours and location(s) are expected November 2019.

JEEP began in 2012 to help large animals like horses, donkeys and mules who are ill, malnourished or being mistreated in Jaltemba Bay, Nayarit, Mexico. We now also care for cats and dogs, puppies and kittens! Saturday Open House & Trail Rides 7am-Noon. Please come up the hill to interact as close as you like with our rescue horses, cats and dogs!

Amazing dedication to animal health and community education through spay and neuter clinics, therapeutic horseback-riding program which focuses on helping special needs and various community education programs teaching children how to care for and bond with animals.The shelter is situated on a beautiful hilltop with exquisite views of the ocean,town and fields. Everything is clean and well cared for. The staff and volunteers are truly amazing. Well worth the visit and well worth supporting in any way you can.

Our group of six met Dale at 9 am and after some great advice on where to go and how to get there were in our way by 9:15 . IT WAS AN AMAZING DAY! Dale is a wealth of knowledge and his machines are second to none, we were able to visit all the things Dale suggested and got back with only a few minutes to spare it was a full day of adventure. Thanks again Dale for the unforgettable day we will be back!

We’ve been to many markets in towns. This was many times larger than we imagined. Something for everyone from food, clothes, tools...homemade baskets, furniture and hats. We’ll definitely be there next week too.

Gilberto arranged to pick us up and drop us off at the Airport, the driver was on time and very pleasant. We then went on a tour to San Blas and had a wonderful time. He took us to a family owned brickyard where they made bricks by hand. We then went on a boat through mangrove trees and saw crocodiles and turtles and lots of birds. We then went to a restaurant on a beautiful beach for lunch. He made a stop in the downtown of San Blas so we could walk round the square. Gilberto said it was our day and he would stop where we wanted. He was in no hurry to take us back. A really great time. We were picked up at 7.30am on time and dropped off at about 4.30, He was most helpful and knowledgeable and spoke wonderful English. I would recommend him and his company to anyone I know. thank you Gilberto and staff

La Penita de Jaltemba is a great location for a relaxing family vacation. If you fly to Puerto Vallarta, I would recommend visiting Guayabitos and La Penita de Jaltemba. They are located next to each other. You can truly dive into the tasty food and the lovely people of this town. If you're looking to truly get some authentic food and truly experience a Mexican beach I would recommend taking the drive from Puerto Vallarta to these great beach towns. Everyone in this town was very friendly I will bringing my family back.
