Kal Mandavi Waterfall

Reviewed By 859madhavu

jawhar is well known for Dabhosa waterfall which is easily approachable but this waterfall is a hidden jewel in the forest...the base village kelicha pada is around 7-8 km from the Jawhar town via Zap road ...1st 5-6 kms road is in excellent state and then 1 .5 km poor road...then take the right diversion at the sign board...from this point, a walk of 45-60 mins will take u to these wonderful falls...in monsoon, final descend is quite slippery , steep, and u can go close to the fall but difficult to get under it...late september would be perfect...or Nov-Dec...btw, it has water all the 12 months...trek route is thru fields , well beaten though u can ask village kids to accompany....u can hire an auto from Jawhar in around 400-500 rs return journey ..by next year, a tar road is proposed to make the walk lesser...

"Exploration is the essence of Human Spirit"....... Exploring Jawhar...... the Land of Waterfalls.....@ 6am at 10 degree..... cascading down from a height of 300 feet,.......... into a crater shaped bowl. The view of water rushing through dense forests and forming the waterfall is glorious! I visited this place in Jan 2019..... very easy to find..... just 5-10 kms away for town.... really beautiful.... one can down up to the waterfall basin.... there are some activities also there.... in rainy seasons it is very dangerous but the view is breathtaking....... there is a hotel located near to the waterfall..... best time to reach there is at the morning before sunrise or just around sunrise...... it best to take some food with you.... the way down is good as the steps are maintained but due to landslides, some parts are broken........ You can reach by car as well as a bike.... there is no entrance fees....

Visited this place on 2nd Sep'19. The place is located near Hanuman mandir and have some benches where you can sit and see the vast green fields while enjoying the cool breeze. It was a little humid but soon we witnessed drizzles which made the experience really nice. You can also get a nice view of Jai Vilas Palace from here. Since this place is accessible via any mode of transport so suitable for family with members from all ages.
