Dansville ArtWorks is committed to sharing with young and old alike a variety of activities - art shows, workshops, gift sections, open mike nights among others - to improve the quality of life in the area. The Board of Directors works tirelessly to achieve that goal. Once you open the front door, the volunteers are welcoming and knowledgeable and encourage browsing. It is a great regional center for artists, photographers, and writers to offer their work for sale. There is a small section for a one-person show as well.

We visited after Labor Day and mid-week so no admission charge. Unfortunately that also meant their “natural” swimming area situated right in the gorge was also closed. However, you can see it in one of the photos. Very interesting. We hiked on a very hot day (90 degrees) so opted for the pathway at the base of the gorge, which allows us to be near and a little bit in the water. Although it is clearly posted “no swimming” some were on this very hot day.
