Recanati (Italian pronunciation: [rekaˈnaːti]) is a town and comune in the Province of Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy. Recanati was founded around 1150 AD from three pre-existing castles. I have been pleasantly surprised by what I gained from this experience. Recanati, houses a museum with multimedia devices that take you on a journey in Leopardi's world; his home gives you an understanding of the environment in which he grew up, how social events and mutations, Scientific discoveries, Religion and Art influenced him.
