Hot breakfast made to order, delicious baked goods, the freshest produce around, beautiful pottery and wood creations, wontons, tacos, Thai food, jewelry, hand-printed t-shirts, freshly caught fish... I never know what this little gem of a market will have in store for me. Oh and an on-site thrift store! Got me a chainsaw and a $1 Patagonia cashmere sweater. Mahalo Cooper Center! <3

Like going to a garden centre... where they have loads and loads of incredibly cool stuff!! The variety of orchids on display here are incredible; and the facts about them all hugely interesting (including the number of unique hybrids which have been developed here). Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Only regret is that we couldn't buy any to take with us back to the UK!

Returned to the Big Island - and this time had the opportunity to shop at the larger store in Hilo! Friendly staff, so many fabrics to see - bought a wonderful teal colored kit of ghinko leaves. There is a nice classroom and they have some interesting classes available! Like an Escher class make out of Kaffe Fassett fabrics! Compared to another quilt shop on the island that I visited - the prices here are very fair.

Winery in Hawaii? YES! Located on the Big Island near Volcano National Park, it’s a quaint winery with locally made wines and teas. Staff was knowledgeable and personable. They will confirm if they can ship to your state. Had 12 bottles shipped home for holiday gifts! So glad we stopped!
