We were six couples and we were taken by a pre organized guide. The treasures in this museum are well over 1000 years old and are absolutely phenomenal There are representations of the actual tombs that the King of Sipan and also the one 300 years before him

Not large, but very good exhibitions of chi but and Mochica culture, pre Inca, with nice timelines and exhibits showing differences in the artifacts over time. Nice mummified exhibit, many pots and artifacts. Close to Lambayeque center park and old city. Well worth the stop. Also has an “adult” exhibit of a more sexual aspect of pottery of the time. Small but just adds to a better picture of the culture. Worth the stop

The Sican Museum is the result of three decades of scientific investigation in the Pomac Forest Historic Sanctuary (Ferreñafe, Lambayeque – Perú).The mission of the Museum is to investigate, conserve, explain, and disseminate the Sicán cultural patrimony of the Province of Ferreñafe. Túcume is my personal favorite site because it's so peaceful and the only noise is the sound of all the birds who are thriving here. The museum is beautiful (completed in 2014) and the signage is excellent in both English and Spanish.
