Reviewed By georgesvillejhThe pousada is very well managed. We had a beautiful suite (suite 2) with balcony in front of the Ocean. Confortable king bed and great bathroom, hamac... All the confort. The beach, just in front the pousada, is fantastic, more than warm in this season (January). Two nice guys are taking care of your confort and offering you coconut juice (in the coconut) when you want. The breakfast (included) is more than great (tropical fruits, cakes of all sort, cheese, eggs, ham with particular bahian items: couscous de milho, bananas da terra cosidas, cocadas, bijous de tapioca...). You can use or not the restaurant (particularly good at lunch) with its good menu of local food (and fresh fish of the day). With the bikes you can rent, you can visit several other restaurants in the neighborhood from "cantines" to fancy resort places. There is suffisent room not to be inconvenienced by the other customers. The ambiance is familial.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Reviewed By Roberta GI was quoted $400 reais for a room , and the AC was not working , so I was designated another room, and by the time I checked out I realizedI was charged $490 reais ,not $400 reais as quoted via whatsapp. I then called to complain and they told me the new room was more expensive and there was nothing they could do about it. They could not have cared less, the owner is impersonal and rude. Terrible service ! Even it is well located , right in front of the beach, just not worth your while.

The Village Mata Encantada complex is located on the outskirts of Santo Andre, a small fishing village. The district is Santa Cruz Cabralia, about 30 km north of Porto Seguro in the south of the State of Bahia. The name »Mata Encantada« means »enchanted forest« (or: »magic forest«). The resort hasn’t just been given this name for any reason. The buildings and leisure areas, the children’s play areas are embedded in an area of jungle that still remains in its natural state. The guests have direct access to the beach from the houses.

Reviewed By FunkysmurfyWell located posada, just a short walk into Santo Andre village, only steps from the undeveloped beach and nestled cozily in well maintained jungle forest. There is a lot of praiseworthy attention to detail by the Swiss owners - the furnishings, the quality of breakfast, the condition and cleanliness of the rooms and villas. During my stay it rained for 4 days. As a solo traveller staying in one of the delightful treehouses, there are not really any common areas to shelter in such weather. But the owners were kind enough to offer me to stay in a spare villa due to such bad weather. Also some internet issues, but these were resolved. Bottom line...this is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay where you will be looked after, and if problems arise - remember you are in Bahia! - the owners are quick to solve them or develop work around solutions.

Reviewed By Marcos GThe place is really Beautiful. I did not stay there, but some friends did, and I got a pretty got glance of it. Next time that's probably where I want to stay. I did however, go to the restaurant they run a couple of times, and it was explendid. One night a had a seafood pasta that i was to die for, and one other time I ordered a seared fish with a banana puree! Heavenly.
