I erroneously booked for the wrong date and Mark was gracious enough to correct the mistake for me with no extra charge. On arrival Bernie made sure my friend and I were most welcome. Our room was warm without the heater or A/C being turned on which is a BIG plus for me because I get cold easily and the weekend we were there was a rainy one. Happy with my overall stay and the facilities. Will definitely go there when I need to be in Kung William's Town again.

Amatola Mountain View Guest House

Very disappointing

Reviewed By Smokey128

A group of us traveled to King Williams Town for their 4th Birthday Parkrun with most of us staying at Amatola. I am not sure how they have received a 3 star rating as the place is something out of a time warp, and my room in particular was not clean, especially the bathroom. There was so much black mound on the grouting, filth along the top of the window and on top of the sanitary towel packet dispenser ( which was empty so why have it) and the Roman blind was so water stained and black it was horrifying. The one mug in the room had a huge chip out of it and when we went to swap it, most of the crockery was the same and the Staff were astounded when we told them it should all be thrown out. Whilst the sleeper couch was covered in a blanket it was filthy underneath. On walking on the floor barefoot, they came away filthy as well. I would not recommend this place. Pay a little more and stay else where

We only stayed one night at this delightful residence. However we found the host Amanda extremely Welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and the decor was lovely. The breakfast was more than we could finish, and very very nice. Thanks so much Amanda Paul and Brank

Home away from home

It's a beautiful place to be if you are intending to unwind. My family had a beautiful and relaxed time at Dreamers. I wish one day they will also establish the same place in East London as they are based in King Williamstown. It was indeed a value for money and I will definitely return to the place if I happen to travel back to the Eastern Cape.
