Great spot with a great host
Reviewed By WeronikaBWe stopped in Carmen for one night to see the Chocolate Hills. We came on a public transport bus from Tagbilaran City -75 pesos / about 2 hrs journey with amazing views). Andrew (or Andrea is a Filipino native who lived in Italy for 40 years) welcomed us with fresh juice and fruit. His house has a few different room options. We chose a two single bed room. The room was clean (also equipped with a fan) and there was shower with warm water. We were able to rent a motorcycle straight from Andrew and he gave us a good recommendation for a dinner spot and even took us to see the city square, which was really fun. In the early morning, he drove us to the van pick up station so we could continue our journey (90 pesos / 1 hr drive back to Tagbilaran City). We were really happy to stay with such a kind, fun and informative host. Highly recommended.

Our Bed & Breakfast offers home like accommodation, 5 private rooms with en suite washrooms/showers in a chalet style home, an open loft upstairs with foamies, and across a garden area from the house fan rooms each suitable for 2-3 people. Our basement area with a garden view is suitable for special events. Dinner can be be provided for all guests upon request (3 hours notice).

Reviewed By Hannes182We were staying in Villa del Carmen for our Balloon ride over the Chocolate Hills. This place is really a great option to stay in Carmen. I just didn’t give full points since there was a big construction going on and some other minor things. Pro: + super friendly stuff (especially KC) + we had to postpone our flight, so they were quite helpful to reschedule the stay also with external website + serve nice dinner and breakfast + also got later breakfast due to our early balloon flight + no street noise + welcome drink + small pool Con: - big construction going on - our room was in the main building and the walls are quite thin We can definitely recommend to stay there and thank KC for the hospitality.

Lovely, quiet guest house
Reviewed By aoifeellenrGonzalez Suites was clean and comfortable. They provided a lovely breakfast and dinner was great. The staff were so helpful. They organised a taxi to Alona Beach for us and a bike. It is situated right next to the Chocolate Hills and the suites allow you to rent a good bike from them for 24 hours. This was helpful in seeing loads of spots around the island. The place was so quiet and peaceful at night and we had a very nice stay. Thank you everyone at Gonzala Suites! On a side note. If you are planning a stay at Gonzala Suites I would suggest getting the ferry from Cebu to Tubigon as it is closer to this guest house. It is also a shorter ferry and there are local buses that go past the road to Gonzala for around 60 piso.
