Colombo is the gateway to Sri Lanka for most travelers—but don’t be tempted to simply pass through this diverse and interesting city. Take a train ride along the coast to Mount Lavinia, a popular beach, or explore the Talangama Wetland, which several TripAdvisor travelers say is the perfect place to take a break from the bustling streets of the city.

Our market tour and cooking school was an amazing experience and one we won’t forget soon! The tour showed us the best of Sri Lankan produce and it was great to try some new ingredients. The school is very hands-on and takes place in a well-equipped kitchen and dining room. We learned to make a variety of Sri Lankan curries using traditional utensils. Overall, a wonderful experience and one we would fully recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka

I spent an enjoyable 1/2 day touring Colombo with Kavi on a Ceylon Capital Tour by Tuk Tuk.  I was lucky to do the tour on a Sunday as there wasn't much traffic and the tour ran well ahead of schedule because of this.  I chose to take a tour with this company as the meeting point was my hotel - there was great communication in advance to confirm the meeting time and hotel details.  The tour covered the must-see sights around Colombo and I particularly enjoyed sampling some street food, drinking coconut water, stopping at a juice bar (the avocado juice was amazing), trying authentic Sri Lankan food for lunch, and getting a chance to do a tea tasting.  My favorite stop had to be the walk through of the fruit and veg market - it was extremely busy but Kavi did well to navigate through it.  I learned a lot about Colombo on the tour. I really appreciated Kavi taking photos along the way and sharing them with me after the tour. There are many tuk tuk tours available to choose from in Colombo - I would high recommend booking with Kavi.

What a great way to spend my last day in Sri Lanka - fun exploring in a tuk tuk. I was fortunate to be the only one and thank you to Sujith for taking extra time to impart a wealth of knowledge. I truly valued the time at the Hindu temple. This is a great opportunity to see a lot in a short time.

We met our guide outside of Kingsbury Hotel. We were delayed, he at time. We like! We drove in a comfortable car through town and we got a slightly idea of the size of the town and how crowdy the town is. We also pass the impressing new parliament building placed in a lake. On our way to Galle we asked about Sri Lanka and how it is to live here, about education and health systems and Samir had good answers on all our questions. We learned a lot and want to visit your beautiful country again. We were taken for a boat ride on a lake with mangrove trees, boards and animals, a temple and fish spa, all of this are new experiments. The boat guide was awesome and spotted animals from long distance. We had tasty and good local lunch at Rampart Hotel. Caused by heavy rain we chosed to skip the rest of the program for our tour. Samir was creative and replaced it with a visit the Marine Museum in Galle and a walk on the fortress wall. Samir is a service minded, polite and skilled guide, he made our tour fun and learning. We will choose to engage him for another tour if we come back sometime. And we will recommend him for sure. Regards Annbjørg Sommersæter and Svein Gihle Karlsen Actually date was december 2018

The park offers everything that is needed for an exciting safari. Great landscapes, many animals, especially elephants! We were very close to the elephants and were very lucky to be able to watch a whole herd and also some baby elephants. Furthermore, I would like to emphasize our tour guide - not only did he inspire and excite us with his very good mood, he also saw many small animals with his trained eye and answered our questions thoroughly. The 3 hours passed by in no time and gave us many nice memories. Would totally recommend booking a trip with these guys :-)

We had booked a car with chauffeur for 7 days with pickup & drop off at Colombo airport. The driver Nishan, was courteous & very friendly. We visited Colombo, Hatton, Kandy, Dambulla, Sigiriya & Negeombo. Considering we did not visit a lot of the usual popular tourist places like Ella, it was a bit tough finding our way around but overall it was a great experience. Mr Sankalpa was very helpful in planning our trip before we left from NewYork & worked with us to get the itinerary we wanted. Highly recommend Red Apple Colombo. Thank you
