Marche (Italian pronunciation: [ˈmarke]), or the Marches /ˈmɑːrtʃɪz/, is one of the twenty regions of Italy. Not a major tourist destination but a lovely place to pass a few hours or act as a base. Several good places to eat and can recommend Parco Ducale as a place to stay. We didn't visit thd main attractions but enjoyed eating out (see other reviews) walking through the narrow streets. At night there is a nice atmosphere as everyone emerges from the heat of summer. Take time to walk down the side streets.
