Wisata Gua Sarang

Reviewed By WanorWM - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

I was there last week. Basically we have no plan to go there but someone told us about this place. We rent a motorcycle about 50000rp for few hours and we go there. the motorcycle ride took us almost 30minutes including lost of direction time. To go in, we have to pay 5000rp perpax . When we were there already late but we managed to see half of the sunset. it was beautiful and i fully recommend people to go there. Of make sure you wear proper clothes if you want to watch sunset because of mosquitos.

Bat Cave

Reviewed By ConsciousTravelling - Windsor, Canada

The Bat Cave is actually a series of 3 caves, which are accessed via a pleasant walk through forest and fields. You need a guide, however, as it would be easy to get lost in the system. Wear appropriate shoes, as you will not walk but scramble over boulders, rocks and slippery stones. There are also many insects such as scorpions and big spiders, so closed shoes and long pants are preferable. However, the caves are stunning. Some have an opening through which you can see the sky and vegetation. The last one is pitch dark. Bring headlamps or a good flashlight.

A fine example of war history and human endurance! Well worth the experience, be sure to get an English speaking guide though. Without a guide, would be an injustice unless you can converse in Bahasa...
